Ah, ok. I was asking, as you seem to think that the woman should be responsible for it, so I thought you may have an idea of what you thought they should be using.

actually I think personally men are responsible for it. I have always been responsible for having a condom. I never met a girl that said they had condoms. I only every had 1 person taking the pill and that was a relationship and she didn't want to use condoms anymore.

that part is true, usually men are responsible for getting the condoms and the lube if needed.

I have a cute little lube dispenser I keep (or used to when I was a "we")on my bedside table

called in flavor of the month clubpitchfork laugh

I think if you are going to have sex (and both have agreed not want kids), then it's both parties responsibility!

I think it starts with self, but I agree

adults who dont want to be parents (taking the gender out of it) should WEAR/Use the protection available for THEIR BODIES

I can agree, but I think it takes two to tango. Sure a woman should protect herself, but if a guy is going to have sex it is always a possiblity.

If we agree that its 'our body' when we get pregnant (which I dont)

its consistent to accept that its 'our body' to protect from pregnancy

Then again, there are many men who want to have a say in it as well. So, if they want to have a say in what goes on, why not take part in using birth control as well?

That being said, I am fine with protecting myself from pregnancy. Even if guys were able to start taking a male birth control pill, I'm not sure I'd rely on that. Then again, like I said above, it would be nice for them to have a bit more control over birth control if they're not ready to have kids.

The law wont change if men start taking birth control. It is still the womans body. Now if the law did change first then maybe eventually males point of view about a pill would change. Or they could still just use a condom. (which is a male form of birth control.)

As you can see, I wasn't talking about the law. I was just talking about preventing pregnancy.

Again i thought thats what condoms were for lol. Now if a guy doesn't want to use a condom then I guess he could use that. How many of you women would trust a guy that said he didn't need a condom because he was on the pill? Would you let me do it without a condom?

Well, unless it's a serious long term relationship, where no one is sleeping with anyone else, I wouldn't stop using condoms. So, no, even if the guy was using birth control I'd still make sure to bring along condoms.

Thus I would argue guys wouldn't take it if they still had to use condoms. So like I said in my original post maybe they would do it in a serious relationship. Outside of that probably not.

Women's birth control doesn't protect against stds either, yet many use it along with condoms.

And there are other benefits for women if they take it. If say the male pill allowed guys to put on more muscle or something maybe more would take it.

Yes, there are definitely other advantages to taking birth control. That's why I was surprised at some of the responses earlier in the thread.

Only for a few women does that work. I have yet to know one that it helped.

Actually, I know several who take birth control because it gives them a regular period. So yes, that's a decent benefit for many.
