I was nervous, but his parents turned out to be wonderful people and easy to love.

Complete opposite of my ex-husband's. THAT was a nightmare. As soon as he left the room for something, his mom came in close and told me things wouldn't last between us, that I wasn't the one for him, and the girl who was.

You never know what you'll meet.

Wasn't until he walked out of the room and she started talking to me. She turned out to be real nice but I don't think she understood we were dating. She referred to me as his "disabled friend"...frustrated

We are still friends and I go to the house regularly but I try to avoid talking to her too much

I'm nervous when I meet anyone new...
so parents oh for sure, it would turn me into a giggling idiot..

not really, I suspect by the time I have another 'lover', we will have to visit the funeral home to see his parents,,,

ya I met my ex husbands parents and entire family (hundreds of them it seemed) all at once at a BBQ at his mom's

and over the course of the weekend fielded many comments about other girls and was he also dating this one or that

never did have a name - till her last day on earth his mother will call me "Matts' girl from Philadelphia" I haven't lived in Philadelphia since 1980frustrated
