A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park. As he arrived home, the cat was walking up the driveway.
The next day he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away. He put the cat out and headed home. Driving back up his driveway, there was the cat! He kept taking the cat further and further, but the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the cat there. Hours later the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?" "Yes", the wife answers, "why do you ask?" "I'm lost," says the man, "and I need the cat to give me directions home." |

My Moofy came up missing a few weeks ago - at my house after only being there for 2 days. That is not his "home" so it's all strange to him. I decided to let him out on the deck. I turned my back for a minute - literally a minute ... can't find that furry thing ANYwhere. Off I go, up and down the road, calling, calling, shaking the treat bag, shaking a plastic bag that he loves to play in, up and down, up and down, telling everyone to look for this cat. HOURS I spent doing this. I finally go driving around, drive down this alley and see this hoard of cats in this yard, one of them is Moofy! I jump out of the car, left the door open, car running, I go trotting over, he runs under a shed! A icky old shed by a grownup old icky fence. I'm down on my knees, moving fence and boards and weeds and just KNOW I'm surrounded by icky creepy crawly things that I ABHOR. I'm flat on my belly, looking in this 4 inch by 4 inch hole trying to see him. He won't come to me at all. Moofy ALWAYS comes running to me. I'm throwing tuna and cat treats at him. I have my lighter lit under there so I can see him. THIS GOES ON FOR TWO HOURS! I finally back off about 10 feet and leave more food right outside the opening. He finally pokes his head out...the dang cat had a flea collar on. Moofy doesn't wear a collar. The ONLY difference in these two cats is the flea collar. I'd been trying to coax a strange cat out from under a shed for TWO HOURS. Poor cat was probably thinking the whole time "Who the hell is Moofy and why is this strange woman throwing food at me???" |

Yes, I walked into my yard and he came flying up behind me outta nowhere and literally jumped on my shoulder, about knocked me over, all purry like a freight train going "Where the hell have you been?? I've been looking EVERYwhere for you Mom!!!"
