Hmmm this just has me a little curious, I dont mean as in I am madly in love with you,
but there are lots of different loves, so when you love someone what is it.. To me it is the people who I care about, the ones who when i see a message or get a phone call I am excited . To me its giving them a little bit of myself and caring enough to want a little of them. I think its caring, enjoying, feeling hurt or happy for them when things are happening in their lives. I think its just wanting whats best for them and being there. I think I love easily and let people close. But is it really Love, to me it is. Hmmm what do you think.. |

the last 2 women for whom i had those feelings weren't able to reciprocate. i'll never again say it first and i'll never say it if i don't feel it. . . . |

I agree Josie.
Love is a very short and simple word that covers a wide range of feelings from love of your child, to love of a brother to love for you lover. Why do so many get hung up on it when talking with the opposite sex. It doesn't have to mean that you want to go to bed with them. So, Josie: you are a great friend and I love you.    Obviously if you love a friend for being a friend and they are uncomfortable with hearing that word from you, probably shouldn't say it then.

It rejoices over the evil and is the truth seeker. Love protects; preserves and hopes for the positive aspect of life. Always stand steadfast in love, not fall into it. It is like the dream of your matter of affection coming true. Love can occur between two or more individuals. It bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. It enhances the relationship and comforts the soul. Love should be experienced and not just felt. The depth of love can not be measured. Look at the relationship between a mother and a child. The mother loves the child unconditionally and it can not be measured at all. A different dimension can be attained between any relationships with the magic of love. Love can be created. You just need to focus on the goodness of the other person. If this can be done easily, then you can also love easily. And remember we all have some positive aspect in us, no matter how bad our deeds maybe. LOVE YA Josie!! And all my mingle friends |

Dont worry i wont say it to anyone i dont mean it too, but it is a strange word, as there are so many different types of Love'.. I love my children madly with everything in me. I love Anaconda in a completely different way, yet it is just as strong, but completely different. You know I love you , and I love so many people but all in different ways. We all need to be loved, and it is something that makes us feel good. My Mum tells me I use the word loosely. but i don't think I do, its just I use it in many different ways, to many different people. Even some of my regular people who stay here give me a hug and kiss and tell me they love me and I do the same, so why is that making it sound loose. I do love them, they are special people in my lives, I am not attracted to them, they dont have anyone else and I do love them, so why shouldnt we tell people we care about that we care about them..  It's really very strange. |

i don't say it anymore the last 2 women for whom i had those feelings weren't able to reciprocate. i'll never again say it first and i'll never say it if i don't feel it.. . . I went with a guy for three years...we never told each other "I love you". I asked him one day how come we never tell each other that? A couple days later...in email...I received this sweet letter with the meaning of "Love". He said everything he felt for me was highlighted in red. Not too much longer after that I asked him "where do we go from here?" He told me he wasn't in it for the "long haul".

That is sad. Don't give up. You just need to know when is the right time to say it. Meanwhile, have fun and do things together. That should be the same as love.

I say it all the time an in a great variety of ways.
Everyday I tell my Dad that I love him. (like a child loves his Dad.) I tell my woman that I love her. (like a lover) I tell my dogs that I love them. (they don't try to read anything deeper out of it) I tell my Chief of Operations at work that "I love you in a way that no man should love another man"...just to watch him blush in front of the troops. I walk past the guys at work and say "I love you!!!"...They laugh like crazy and say "I love you toooooo!!!!" I tell truck drivers delivering much needed supplies "You probably don't hear ths everyday but, "I LOVE YOU!!!"" (it alwys makes them laugh. I tell the waitress bringing me a beer or a cup of coffee...."I love you".....always good for a smile. When a strange chick compliments my new car....I smile and say "I love you" I love plenty of Mingletards for the kind, happy fun souls that they are with no strings attatched. Too damned many people have a screwed up idea that "Love" has one tyrranical meaning of absolute eternal devotion that applies only to them. Many people are so hung up on that ridgid ideology and cling to it while using it as the reference for failures of the past, that they refuse to allow easy going love into thier lives because they have one definition of "Love" and it always refers back to someone who broke thier heart. Me.....I am a Love Slut. I got lots to give in many ways. I love being loved in more ways than just a lover's love. |

Hmmm. As I sit here pondering for a few minutes. I can tell you that I believe that love is something that everyone has, but on so many different levels.
I, for one would help anyone on here if they needed something. Or if they were down and out. I have always been that way. IRL and online. So, IMO, the type of love I can show to another human being can be at both ends of the spectrum. I don't want to be judged by my extreme short list of friends. Lol. I'm not on here to be popular. Anyway, Ive done the same things for a bum or a stranger on the street. I've been through the Micky D's drive through several times to buy food for a homeless man or people, and their dog. Ive listened to homeless people tell me about their lives. I think its that I have a compassion for human beings. But, It's also that I love to hear peoples stories. Whether or not it makes me a better person for taking a few hours out of my life to listen to someone is anyone's guess on what type of person I truly am. They're are those that are evil and malicious. That will take you for granted. I'm glad I can spot those people a mile away. Whether I get it in return or not. A simple TY. Be it a physical or emotional from a g/f. I will always remain selfless and put others before my self. It's just the way I am  Now, looking at what I typed, I'm not sure that this was the right thread to put this...Oh well.  lol

I love being loved in more ways than just a lover's love. so you drank the good coffee and got lotsa sleep last night I do some of these things also and have been misinterpreted but w/e but is it wrong to want to be devoted to one love (like a partner)? To me it is the ultimate kind of love even though the others u listed are all important and why do you say tyrannical - anything that is tyrannical certainly is not love love ya!

because i want them to know they have a place in my heart. pure and simple. Agreed! ^_^ Also, if you say it to a boy\girl you are interested in. It should always come from the heart. There is only one Girl (Not talking about my mum  ) that has ever said this too me. I never really knew that she cared so deeply? I was feeling a little cold towards her, when she said it. It didn't go down well. I took what she said seriously, (as you should always do), I never question a persons feelings. I love her, I just think it's a very mild love between us. Maybe a little above friends. We will see :)
