That's true..although most cattle can keep them away without a donkey present..but they are good to run with a calf herd. LOL a donkey doesn't let anything get near with out telling you about it..I love to hear them 'talk'... I'd rather have one than a watchdog.

They don't make very good house pets though. The little mini's would..wouldn't be any worse than having a dog in the house...they are actually very intelligent and can be trained easily. ( I used to raise them... )
