Topic: Micheal Moore: Racist | |
---|---|
So Spider, Ann Coulter can say something mean and it makes her human, and if Micheal Moore says something mean he is racist?
I see |
couldnt have said that better myself, Invisible!!!!!!!!!
invisible,
No, he's a racist because he's a racist. Maybe you don't get it, because you have never experianced racism. Racism is when someone hates you because of your race. MM says lots of mean things, I'm not talking about that. I can accept mean, but I don't accept racism. I don't defend Mel Gibson, because what he said was indefensible, so why do you guys defend Micheal Moore? |
Spider, for a year I have experienced racism only for the reason to be from another EU Country, so don't come me with such a weak excuse. If one can say mean things and be human then you have to use the same measure for others. Is it personal on your behalf or only because you don't like his political direction?
invisible,
Did you not read what I said about Mel Gibson? I liked Mel before the anti-Jew rant. I was offended by what he did and angry that he would lie about his feelings until he was drunk. I am now luke warm to him, because he says he trying to change. I believe anyone can change, so he deserves the chance. But I haven't seen Micheal Moore showing any desire to change and why should he when so many people are willing to defend him? "Yeah he's a racist, but we need to hear what he has to say!" Did anyone say that about David Duke? Being mean because someone has a stupid opinion or limited understanding on a subject is different from hating someone for their skin color or some other aspect of their person that they can't control. If you really have experianced racism, then you should know that. |
invisible,
Oh, BTW...being hated for being from another country isn't racism. Just thought you should know that. When people in America's south were lynching blacks, it wasn't because they were from Africa, it was because they were BLACK. I guess you are talking about some other "ism" that I don't know a name for. |
Because I experienced it I know better. People just don't think, they don't really do it on purpose. And only because Micheal Moores political tendencies are different to yours doesn't give you the right to judge him different to Ann Coulter, who in my opinion said a far more mean thing. Her you call intelligent and witty and what not. So judge all with the same measure or not at all, which would be more becoming for a practicing Christian.

invisible,
"Because I experienced it I know better" Whatever. Like you are the only person who has experianced racism, so you are the final arbitor. Get a clue, okay? "People just don't think, they don't really do it on purpose" He did it on purpose. Shut your trap for a minute and actually WATCH the video. "So judge all with the same measure or not at all, which would be more becoming for a practicing Christian. " Not talking about mean things, I'm talking about racism. But if you want to talk about Ann Coulter, the problem is that most people aren't smart enough to understand her, that causes people to get offended. When you think she's being mean, she's making a point that went right over your head. |
I see, so you are actually the only one smart enough to understand her, while most of us are just plain stupid????
Spider, you are too f***cking funny |
invisible,
It's a combination of intelligence and willingness to understand (being open-minded) that allows one to understand Ann Coulter. If you don't understand her, you are missing one or both of the above qualities. Abra used to talk about his intellectual superiority to all Christains with almost every post, but you were never offended. Hypocrite much? |
Spider, have it your way. You are the only intelligent and open minded person here, I hope we others don't drag you down
well then i guess every time you laughed at the Simpsons you were neutral....
the cup spills what's in it...you see racism and are a racist about racism even in it's politically incorrect but exploited form. racism is all over american media... you are just singling out Moore , but then so what ...even if he was but he isn't.... so what....what's your point.....the same energy that drives racism drives the belief systems that you cling to so strongly. racism is only a small aspect of the evil of discrimination.... and you seem to joyfully discriminate with abandon to the actual reality. the same way pro-lifers have no conscience blowing up an abortion clinic. why do you want to call him out so strongly? what is pushing your buttons? in the early days of CNN everyone mispronounced his name and made light of it....even he has made humourous sarcastic reference to his own indian roots.... it is not racism only you want to call it that...what's up with that ! |

Hi Alex
spider, I have been sitting here watching the battle from the sidelines and find it saddening that with all that is going on in the world you all are arguing about one sentence an entertainer made. That is neither here nor there against the demand you made for invisible to shut up. Need I remind you that she is a lady? Get a grip on yourself man!
Spidercmb, I defended you earlier in this thread. I stick to that. However, your response to invisible earlier with your comparison of Ann Coulter and Michael Moore was wrong. A stupid comment is a stupid comment, regardless of whether Coulter or Moore said it. And , believe me, both of them have more than their share of stupid comments on their track records. some like Coulter, some like Moore , some(such as me) don't care for either of them.

Zapchaser,
"That is neither here nor there against the demand you made for invisible to shut up. Need I remind you that she is a lady? " I find it saddening that with all that is going on in the world, you are argueing about one sentence I made. Oh and one other thing, did you read what I wrote in context? She hasn't watched the video, so I was telling her that she should stop telling me it's not racist and actually watch the video before she makes a comment. Invisible has hated me from my first post, before you think to lecture me about how I speak to her, maybe you should go to the religious forums and read the things shes said about and to me. She has called me Hitler, because I support Israel (yet the irony in that statement eludes her). |
knoxman,
Please re-read what I said. There is a difference between a stupid comment and hating someone because of their race. |
That does not exclude the fact that she is a lady. If you don't like her comments, ignore them.
Zapchaser,
No. |
