He was trying to invalidate what the doctor had said, by emphasising that the doctor wasn't American. Watch the video and listen to MMs rants. Complaining that he hadn't been on CNN for three years, but then doesn't even flinch when Wolf says "We've invited you on many times and you have always refused". Trying to say that the doctor has no idea what he's talking about, then Wolf points out that the Doctor has two doctorates in medicine and is a respected journalist. Then finally, MM resorts to mocking Doctor Gupta's name. Ever previous attempt was an attack at the credibility of CNN and the doctor, this is obviously what he was doing with the way he was pronouncing the name.

i watched the clip, and was once again bowled over by what an ass michael moore is. over-bearing, arrogant, jack-ass. should we be surprised that he would make fun of a name?

our country needs people like him, however much i detest him. people need to be able to speak out...if only to bring us to have our OWN point of view.

thats what im saying!... what does that have to do with the message mike moore is trying to get across to all the people that dont have to suffer with no health care in this country.... i dont get it.

i think we all have predjudices which some of us overcome when we actually get out in the world and find the stereotypes dont fit the actual people.Others are too closed minded to learn.(not aimed at anyone just a general statement)

You still don't get it, because you get stuck on your own beliefs and refuse to let go. I wasn't trying to invalidate what MM said...the facts do that nicely. This wasn't a "poisoned well" argument, Micheal Moore poisons his own well. He's a liar and a hypocrite and a racist. I just pointed out the racist part, because it's something I didn't know about him before. Take it for what you will.

Racism is usually directed at a minority, so putting it up to a vote how you want to treat people of another race isn't exactly the American way. As I remember, they didn't put ending slavery up to a vote, it was decided unilaterally by a very strict, controling and unpopular (at the time) president.

No, I'm not. I'm saying that having a vote to decide something that is subjective isn't right. It's not objective, because everyone will have their own opinion. But you can't decide "It's not racist" and consider anyone who disagrees "Wrong". Some people will think of MM as a racist and some won't. If you don't, I can't see that point of view really, but I feel that you have the right to be wrong.
