i'm having a maternity photo shoot on wednesday and i need ideas of poses to let the photographer know. She'll do anything. Please help. Post pics of ones you like or tell me your favorites.

I guess it all depends on what YOU want to show off. Do you want to show off your belly or try to hide it? Straight on pictures hide the belly while angled and side shots show off your belly. The best thing I could say is just to google pregnant and look through the images... Good luck

You want advice? OK, here it is.

Don't pose or be dressed the way you were at the time of the conception.

I you want you child to see it and like it defineatley keep covered , pretty is much better than naked..

My boys would die if I had a photo of myself pregnant with them and was naked, but they love the ones where they can see that I was pregnant, my daughters are the same, they just would not want to know..

So i guess think about how you would like to see photos of your mum pregnant

My next door neighbour had beautiful belly pics done,

she wore a boob tube...like a band across her breasts, and a low slung skirt in the same colour...the photographer took them at dawn, and angled her belly so it looks like her belly is glowing..

you could do the same with sunset...

She also had her girlfriends decorate her belly with gorgeous artwork at her baby shower, and the photographer took shots of it...

Also I had a friend who took a beautiful pic when pregnant wrapped in a white silk sheet draped over her breasts and then across her hips. It showcased her tummy wonderfully.

How many different things can one do with a pregnant belly?

I used to do these types of photos when I worked at a photo studio. I loved doing them.

I always encouraged the woman to show skin (belly only, we couldn't do topless or nudes and I would never have done those photos anyway).

Wear white or a light colored top...solid color... get something in black and white if possible, those always turned out fantastic in my opinion.

If you do a black and white photo I would suggest getting it in color also. Black and white is an arty fad right now that I can not wait for it to go away...not everyone likes them...lol

i did a ton of poses. I'll post them when i get them. I personally LOVE black and white with a splash of color. Alot are just my belly, thank god. I hate face pictures since i.ve gained so much weight.

the human body is beautiful...especially preganant! I LOVE nude pregnant bodies. I would not be shy. There is NO reason to have to feel uncomfortable with your body...be it slim or with child.

sweetie..that is natural to gain weight ...be proud and feel beautiful!

Lizzie you are ADORABLE, Don;t sweat the small stuff, your pregnant, your supposed to gain weight now. You will love these pics after your baby is born trust me, you'll cherish them.
