Is anyone looking forward in seeing the movie Thor?

I would post a video preview of it in here but I don't know how!

Yes! Captain America is probably really good also. Very cool to see all of these comics as movies now.

Looking forward to seeing both movies too.

Some trivia:

When Tom Hiddleston learnt he was going to be in the film, he was in "a grizzly pub" in North London, and caused an uproar there by screaming out loud.

According to producer Kevin Feige, the Bifrost bridge is the films's most interesting set: "In the comics, it's literally a rainbow that extends out from Asgard and pops down on Earth. We're not necessarily doing that; we're not having the big hard solid lines of colors. We're saying it's some sort of energy, almost a solid quartz bridge that as the light catches it and flows through it, you get some of that rainbow-esque quality to it."

The filmmakers cite the work/art of "Thor" writers Jack Kirby, Walter Simonson and J. Michael Straczynski as an influence on the look of the film.

The Eye of Agamotto, a very powerful magical amulet, can be seen in Odin's treasure room. This was a weapon wielded by a Marvel hero, Doctor Strange the Sorcerer Supreme.

This is Anthony Hopkins's first comic book film. He was previously offered the role of Alfred in Batman Begins (2005).

Screenwriter Don Payne made sure to handle the fish-out-of-water scenes delicately: "We didn't want Thor to come to Earth and suddenly become an idiot for comic relief. We didn't want him looking at a TV and going, 'What is yon magic box with phantoms that move and speak inside it?' Even without his powers, he's the same person on Earth as he was in Asgard - a smart headstrong warrior, a being from an advanced race who's used to traveling to other worlds and thinking on his feet. Still, he's on unfamiliar turf, and there's some fun in that. You just have to find the right balance."

According to Don Payne, Jane Foster was more of a stereotypical scientist (dry and skeptical), but Natalie Portman wished to revise the character to make her more poetic: "She thought Jane could be someone who thinks outside of the box, someone whose theories are considered outlandish and are frowned upon by the scientific community. But it's the kind of thinking that leads to great discoveries. When Thor arrives, she's willing to take a leap of faith - and she has to pay the consequences for it."

Cannot wait for THOR!!!!!!! I usually enjoy these kinds of movies and from the previews I've seen this one looks like it is going to be pretty good.

I'm kind of looking forward to Capt America, but I wish they had used more of an unknown for that part.

Always been a geek girl!

The actor playing Thor got so big that he couldn't fit in his outfit and was told to go on a diet of just cardio exercise. lol

That guy is in shape! In the cartoons Thor is very big...I think they should have let him get bigger if wanted. ha ha

He is a God afterall!

Great! I am going this week to watch it. Sounds like a winner.

One of the things I get from alot of people is that Thor doesn't look big enough to play his role. In cartoons he is pretty much the biggest guy except when he stands next to the Hulk.

In the movie he doesn't look big enough some say. I think he looks great, unless you think Thor should look like let us say....Arnold Schwarznegger in Conan the Barbarian?

I think Chris Hemsworth did a pretty good job in playing the character. bigsmile
