Dear Mingle family,
I know I have been neglectfull in my duties as a friend. But as most of you know, when life calls you answer. I meet my fiance here on mingle. He was not on here long. As a matter of fact I was the first and only person he contacted. His name is Rick and he has 2 wonderful sons. Those lovely young men are hockey players and they need their dad. My Rick's kidneys have failed. He is in the intensive care unit in critical condition. I have finally found someone that loves me, respects me and I am very in love with. I know the power of prayer and the wonderful faithfull mingle family. Many of you might not remember me and I am sure none of you know Rick, yet I know how blessed we are to be a part of this family.

Thank you everyone. It is hard. I put a post-it up by my computer and prayed every day for God to send me someone that would love and respect me. He sent me Rick. I do not believe that he would take that from us. But dealing with so many negitive people at the hospital makes it hard to keep strong. I know the mingle community will be there in heart and spirit for Rick and his family.

Rick was accepted at Cleveland Clinic. They just life-flighted him up there today. This is good news. I will miss seeing him every day, but I know he is in the best of care. God has heard our prayers.

Rick is being evaluated for the transplant list. He is holding steady. Still in a comatose state. I thank God every day that he was even accepted into Cleveland Clinic. They work miracles there and Rick needs one.

Dear Robin,

I'm new here but I noticed your post and had to reply to offer my prayers to those who have already expressed theirs. I pray that Rick will get his transplant very quickly and that you and he will be able to walk down the aisle together soon.

First, welcome to Mingle. As any family, it has its ups and downs. But this wonderful community has always been here for many of us long timers and newcommers in times of need. Thank you for your prayers.

Rick is holding steady. 2 days ago his brain was starting to show mini seisures. They have declined as of today. They do not say much to me as I am not next of kin. His Mom gets all the information and has the power to make all decisions concerning Rick's care.

I know it is not the hospital's job to give hope, I have to have hope, yet it gets hard grabbing that small grain of positive amongst the larger bolders of negitive.

Most days I feel so out of the loop. Yet I continue to pray and thank God for the miracles he has given Rick.
