I am so glad the rethuglicans have finaly exposed themselves for the swine they are. Realy this is what happens when they get in power. They are going to further disrupt the US economy over the one budget hang up they have wich is family planning.

that really means nothing, if you think about it... dems and repubs have just taken things to far, and argue just for the sake of arguing now... maybe they used to have a point, but now it is just like a kindergarten class.

It seems as we lose no matter what. Republicans want to slash and burn social programs and the dems only wish to prune, regardless the rich will not see a tax increase and the common folks will suffer and pay the bills.

i think spending is the key... if the poor and middle classes are not spending money, because they have none to spend, then things get bad. the poor and middle classes make up 80-90% of the population, and if the quit spending, then the money gets stagnant, and businesses go under and no jobs are going to be made. I blame the oil companies, there is no reason for gas and diesel to be so expensive, and all the poor and middle class extra money is going to the gas station.

That is a solid truth.

Yeah this is a two way road. Instead of being elected leaders the two parties are more interested in being democrats and republicans instead of putting their special interests aside and doing what's best for the country.

Balancing the budget

You see, htat's why our two sides can never work as a unified team. Balancing the budget by just shutting down Government spending would be the worst possible thing for the country. Now, if you were to consider dramatically raising taxes on the upper 2% as well, we might have something to talk about.

making the rich pay more in taxes does nothing for anyone... they need to put more money into the lower and middle classes for anything to start helping... the "trickle down" effect has been proven a failure, but they want to keep using it...

Now we have something to talk about. Taxes are how that is accomplished. Government takes money from the top, distributes it around the bottom and middle, aggregate demand improves, Businesses need workers to satisfy demands. Jobs get created. Everybody gets richer. That's the way it has always worked, and that is the way it is always going to work.

if the businesses have no customer demand, then why would they hire anyone? the lower and middle class make up almost all of the population in the US, and if they are not spending any money, then consumer goods are not being sold. There is not enough of the upper class to keep the nation strong financially. Taxing the rich more does nothing but piss off the rich people.(not that i care) Thats why businesses are closing, because the lower and middle classes are not spending what little money they have. Higher grocery prices, electric and heating bills going up, gas prices are way high again, insurance going up, rent, phone and cable prices all high... how can they afford to spend any money on extras? and on top of that, no raises, or where they work gets shut down due to money problems.

False. The income tax burden falls hardest on the middle and lower classes. This stolen loot is used for bribes and bombs. Welfare programs are paid for by IOUs, which future poor and middle class folks will be on the hook for. Worse yet, even when the poor and middle classes get a bit of money back from the thieving regime, its value is reduced by inflation.

The only people who consistently evade the taxation-inflation racket is the political elites and their cronies here and abroad. (and those people smart enough to avoid taxable investments)

FYI-aggregate economic figures have proven over and over to be nearly useless in practice. In recent months, Paul Krugman has tried to use aggregate demand to make his case for the regime policies, and has been made a fool every time.

In my opinion no more spending on anything that does not benefit all Americans. only spend money on legitimate government departments, restructure the welfare system so people cannot create a career of being on welfare, border security (not nappy's version either), highway and bridge construction (America's infrastructure is a in bad way), forbid any corporation from outsourcing. If they outsource they need to pay a 1000% import tax on their goods; however, if they choose to keep jobs here and create new ones they should get a substantial tax break for a while. Quit trying to blow smoke up my *** to name a few ways to better the country.
