A friend of mine met someone here, they live in different states
too far to drive for a meeting.
He,s planning a vacation and wants to see her, but she said no !

She said that she can,t afford to travel to see he, and already has feelings for him. Also she could,nt let him bare the expense
of commuting

A Long Distance Relationship can be costly, but if it leads to your life partner, its worth it right ?

He wants advice on what to say to convince her to change her mind.

i think it's def. worth it, if the feelings are already there.

If it's the one you've been searching for. It's worth it.

Lots of effort must be put into it however. :)

If you both truly care about each other, then its worth it. Patience, and time have a way of working things out for the best.

i would believe it is worth any price to find love
love is the reason we are born so to your friend i say yes go for it and tell her there is no distance to great that love cant over come and no amount of money can change that

and sweetie i really like that picture

Long distance relationships require more effort in my opinion.

It's like gambling. If it works out you hit the jackpot or you can blow alot of cash and kick yourself in the ass if it doesn't work out in the end.You can also say WTF life is too short enjoy it while you can.

"She said that she can,t afford to travel to see he, and already has feelings for him. Also she could,nt let him bare the expense
of commuting"

So she's so into him that she can't bear the thought of him coming to see her... anyone else think that that sounds, well, odd?

Sounds to me like she's in love with the idea of him, and doesn't want to ruin her fantasy by actually meeting him. I think this guy better cut his losses and find someone who actually does want to spend time with him.

here pepper pass this along it happened tome once

internet love?

He is your perfect Internet dream man
he understands you when no-one else can
You talk online for hours you never want to stop
your heart fills with love like its going to pop
He says things that your heart longs to hear
he sooths your feelings and calms your fear
Yet in person this man you have not met
but he is your soul mate on this you would bet
then the one thing you hoped finally comes true
your soul mate is finally going to meet with you
he is finally here to meet you face to face
This is when your love turns into disgrace
you wonder how you can be as shallow as this
What did the heart see that the eyes now miss
As a woman mentally he is all you desire
but as a female physically he lites no fire
And it breaks your heart that it ends in this fashion
mental love is truelly no match for physical passion
you shake it off because you have learned from it all
and your perfect man well he just suffered a fall
and without even thinkin his heart you just broke
and turned his idea of love into a painful joke

There are such things as family obligations, finances (if both parties can't ever afford it)disabilities(not because of ones aversion to it! That would be plain disgusting) etc......

all this "love can conquor all" stuff is all sweet and loving and wonderful, but sometimes life gives us a kick in the pants and says F**Ck you.......

you can't always have what you want. There are times in life that our hearts must break because of the realities of life. Maybe in our techie world we have forgotten about those realities and what they mean.
