Maybe so, but there's some things I just don't want to try.

Go with what your heart wants, but go about it in a sensible way. If we didn't take risks, then we may regret it for eternity. However, if it's something where you may end up with no home, no money, no food, then i wouldn't, cos their the most basic things we need to survive.

I find myself in that situation right now, and yeah it's really not easy. Is it worth risking losing what you have at this moment in time? Weigh up the pro's and the cons, really. ;)

hmmm yep just sort of standing there wondering how to build a bridge across to make it happen, there has to be a way across

So, if there is the big, gaping, uncrossable chasm, it has to end somewhere, right? So if you can walk along the edge, sooner or later there has to be a safer way down, or even across. Maybe it takes a little longer, but they say life's about the journey not the destination. Who knows? Maybe you meet someone along the way who has the same dilemma but with a different idea. Maybe you can help each other. No matter what, you both have something in common right from the beginning.

Wow...one of my questions actually got more than a page of responses, and most of 'em serious at that! I'm astonished! Thanks to all of you for the advice.
Here's the thing...I find I'm rather resourceful. Call me MacGyver in a skirt. I've traversed this canyon up and down, I've felled the proverbial biggest tree and it doesn't quite reach. The cliff down is too sheer to scale, and I'm here alone. Sure, I could wait for help or even go look for it, but I'm thinking taking the running leap of faith might be the answer, even if I fall to my death. I've made it this far by myself...I'm thinking I can muster enough strength to cross the chasm and then I can rest a bit before continuing on my journey. I just don't know if I dare risk it...it's a helluva chasm and I ain't quite as fleet of feet as I used to be... For now, I'm going with Moe's suggestion until I decide what to do! |

But just think of what is on the other side, we may get a little scratched and battered opn the way, but once you are there it is heaven. and just think of all the great things you will see before you hit the bottom. |
