she said the only option is to disable firewall. there is not an option to disable avg totally toto Tell try that. If it doesn't work, there should be an exit option when she right clicks the AVG icon in the system tray. |

no exit option, but she was told to delete the google chrome and she did take it off

That shouldn't interfere with a connection though. AVG might be blocking something. In the start menu, programs, go to AVG and open it, and she should be able to shut it down from there.
That's weird, there should be an option when she right clicks the AVG icon in the system tray. You know what? Is there any other security software on the computer? |

hey guys if AVG is blocking her by getting on line an u can turn it off or anything tell her to just uninstall it to see if she can get online some times programs like that do that..

actually i had connected the lap top to the internet by my home telephone line, got on line, downloaded avg, went to mcdonald's, got on line (wifi) there, downloaded google chrome, then went to waco. once i got there it would not load the page

the service is provided by the facility where she lives, it is a wifi connection that she was using with the previous lap top she had
|

sometimes it depends on what service she use she may have to uninstall the new programs that ese put in an see if they will get online with out that he should of just waited an done it all at her house..

what happens when she clicks on the wfi connection does it ask for password stuff? an what page won't load ?

the wifi does not ask for a password, it just shows that it is connected. and the windows internet explorer page won't load
|
