yes she has done all that. she has windows, with internet explorer, but it also has google chrome She can't connect through either?

i don't know, does she. i tried the lap top out at mcdonald's before i took it to her and it loaded fine. all i did at mcdonald's was download avg free antivirus and google chrome

she said the only option is to disable firewall. there is not an option to disable avg totally toto

When it loads in the system tray, right click and there should be a pause/sleep/disable/or simiar option.
