Jesus said, "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:" If you're already like this naturally then there is nothing to 'obey'. Just like the Wiccan rede. "Do as ye will and harm none". It's truly the same directive. As is the golden rule. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". This wisdom is taught in most spiritual traditions. You can think of it in term of "obedience" if that works for you. Other people may prefer to simply think of it in terms of being in harmony with God How a person personally thinks of it is irrelevant. The same path can be found in Wicca, Buddhism, Taoism, and many other spiritual faiths and traditions. |
