Sorry, the poor little kid will forever be known as Emerson Dublin. And she will hate the parents for that. Emerson is a Brazillian Male name, as in Fittipaldi, racing driver extra-ordinary. I could go on, but I fear I am already in enough trouble Tiz called "life on the edge" |

My first name is spelled the Polish way and I always HATED it.....so I know, I know!!!! bMary is my middle name. My first born is named Victoria, not exactly what I would have preferred, but what her mother wanted. I would've liked "Viktoria", German/Russian spelling. Maybe Polish to! |

With my daddy being Polish and my mama Irish, By the time I added my confirmation name, I was a real mixure of Polish/Irish Catholic names |

Naming my 5 kids sounds like I was going for all of the Apostles names

So it seems you have a total of 4 names altogether. This shows the difference betweem wealthy Catholic people, & us poor protestants! My parents could only afford 3 names, although a certain lack of immagination may have come into play |

That would become a trial anytime you had to fill in Govt., forms that needed your full name! Also seems you signature would involve most of the alphabet. I thought mine was bad enough! |

It will be obvious with what I have written, that I am not Catholic, so, because I am ignorant of the facts, but interested,Where does your confirmation name fit in. and have you reverted to your maiden name? |

For Confirmation, you choose a Saint's name that you admire and would like to emulate. Although it becomes part of your name, it is not so legally. I go by my married name. I was Bernie's proud wife for 39 years, I see no reason to erase those happy, proud years. The only way I would is if someday far down the road, I should meet someone and marry again. |

Sorry, I didn't quite meanwhat I wrote to sound the way you seem to have taken it. A couple of posts back, you said you now write your " Now last name", & I assumed that maybe you had reverted to your maiden name. As it happens, my sister reverted to the name of Neal after her divorce, because she is a "legal something I don't recall" and her ex was going to file for bankruptcy.(a) I don't think he did, (b)he has a fairly rare name in NZ, and his court procedings may have reflected badly on her carrear. "Legal Executive" is what Grace is, I called her an unfrocked Lawyer. She is a lawyer without a degree, but with much experience in a lawyers office. |

Ray, I took no offense to what you said and I am sorry if I came across that way. I was just trying to explain why I chose to keep my married name. Guess that is why emails came be bad somtimes. Take care my friend and talk with you tomorrow. |
