My grandpa was a Sailorman
He fought the war against Japan When everyone fell around him Limbs flying astray He'd be the only one upon his ship to get up and walk away I was eleven when I learned to drive He said dont be scared just give it a try We pulled out into the stables in his 49 Willies JEEP But once we started bouncing He couldn't make a peep. He knew he would survive. Amazing Stories he would tell us Of his wars and wrinkled tattooes. Back then things were different Everything was war, women and booze. After years and years of sickness and health His time had finally come Hospice would come out and suddenly He would pull through. It happened as he aged, Not once or even two But my faithful old grandpa Just couldn't let go. His life was full and aged Like the best wine in town Today was his final goodbye We'll miss you gramps-being around. |

THIS was very tender and beautiful for who and how is must have been in your life and time shared together..
I can only HOPE,,after I am gone from here,,that one of my Grand children would think or feel to do THIS in my honor... |

Thank you, he passed away this morning. . .after being on hospice several times and then bouncing back. I am glad he is finally free from his suffering, He was a great man, a comedian, a sailor, and an extremely hard worker and a great fisherman.
Once on a fishing trip him and my uncle were in there tiny fishing boat and got lifted out of the water and when they looked down there was an orca under their boat. . . |
