I have to agree with Art though, whether we agree with his statement or not,,, calling someone racist is not a racist statement.

saying someone wants things to be 'white' is calling them out on THEIR racism, not being racist either

I agree, there are very xenophobic people in whatever party we see, because xenophobes are a part of america, the tea party however happens to just have their xenophobia more well publicized

as you said in another thread; its not wrong if you arent caught, and they happen to have been caught and called out in public much the way Shiller was....

And have you forgotten the saying, the pot calling the kettle black? Well, Mr. Schiller was the pot.

from wiki

The phrase "The pot calling the kettle black" is an idiom used to accuse a person of being guilty of the very thing they are pointing out

what, EXACTLy , is mr shilller guilty of that he 'accused' someone else of doing?

Now do you honestly need me to spell this out for you? Let us just say, 'judge not,' and 'the guilty tend to blame the other guy.' If he was neutral he would have had nothing like the statement he had made. Instead he had to go and bag on the Tea Party and also had to bring race into it. On top of that he tried to make them sound like crazy gun toting cow boys and cow girls or Ozark Hillbillies! Gap toothed white trailer trash likewise comes to mind reflecting on that statement. But imagery none the less, When you make an accusation and point fingers three point back at you! Mr. Schiller should have used better judgment in his comments. He lost his job. He is taking a hiatus from the public eye. Why? He put his foot squarely in his mouth. He came off like he harbored resentment at his own like a black person who hates being black and other blacks. only this case he is white.

Enough picking on the White folk already! Damn country's all messed up enough anyways. MLK Jr. would be appalled at some of the BS going on today if he were still alive! My forefathers sure did not own slaves. We owe nobody nothing! So why do people still simmer over reparations so many years after the fact? The Civil War has been over by about 133 years. Instead of trying to see the good in the Tea Party so many Liberals just see what they want to see and instead of looking at their ideals and asking themselves where the money for all their love is coming from they just get mad at the rich and jealous. Covetousness bastards one and all!

Mr. Schiller didn't play nice and he got a time out for having a potty mouth. Nuff said! HA HA!

And he is a Inverted Racist! he must not sleep well at night hating so much!

so you are suggesting MENTIONING the word WHITE in conjunction with GUN TOTING, brings up images of trailer parks and ozarks in your head? interesting

and what does civil rights or racism have to do with this, is it describing people as WHITE that made him racist?

but I repeat

what, EXACTLy , is mr shilller guilty of that he 'accused' someone else of doing?

As it turns out, my suspicions are being confirmed. In his typical way, O'Keefe had done some very creative editing for his "sting" video. The 11 and a half minute final product was is a distillation of a 2 hour original with material cut and pasted, tsken out of context and moved to differnt context. Al Tompkins, a senior faculty member for broadcasting and online at the Poynter Institute examined the original. This audio clip is a recording of a story aired on NPR's Morning Edition. Well worth listening to. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/03/14/134528545/npr-okeefe-inappropriately-edited-video-execs-words-still-egregious

The report does not let Mr's Schiller off the hook. It still felt that he was wrong for criticizing the Tea Party. I don't. As it turns out, the comments we heard were actually references to what two Republicans had told him, but that part was edited out.

OKeefe edited something to make it more controversial?surprised surprised

no , IF michael moore does it , it is just as suspect

When I have watched michael moore however, he has been ON camera interacting with people in QUESTION AND ANSWER style, when he has been off camera he usually COMMENTS on the FACTS of what someone says as opposed to interpreting what he thinks they MEANT....

not that its impossible he ever does what Keefe does, but I havent seen it in the things I have watched

Beware that old Oh-yeah-well-what-about-you argument. Very powerful stuff.
