Topic: Be honest - Who lets thier Cats/pet sleep in the bed

I have one cat. And yes she sleeps in the bed with me. Hell...right next to my face sometimes. And who knows, maybe even after she just got finished taking the biggest shyt of her life. I have yet to get sick from sleeping with my cat. Neither have any of the women that have slept in my bed.

My apartment is pretty much spotless. Shes doesn't mess up anything. A bit of hair here and there but that's it.

I mean...at least a cat wont eat shyt then lick your face. Or shove their nose up another cats azz then rub their nose on you.

I love all animals. Dogs, cats, birds, snakes, rabbits, whatever. I think some people see owning a cat as a feminine thing. So it makes them seem less tough. But just think of this...a house cat is one of the most vicious animals on the planet. Its one of the only animals that kills for pleasure.

sorry, dear comtech1,
but here I can't agree with you!bigsmile
--eeuuhhhhrrr, how do you make these "QUOTE", please?

Simply because ...ok, let give you an example of my life:
as born in a capital-city in a family of a doc and lawyer, my brother and I was pretty nicely intoxicated with all these "clean (almost sterile) environment, colourful syntetics and bifenols with similar unfriendly company"....

Well, it was perhaps could been "supportable" cause our differents allergies until I develop an terriblement horrible asthma...
Ha, when your mom is a doc, then surely you will eat more tablettes+pillules instead of normal food...LOL

But once happened something "miraculous" - I was somewhere in savage countryside between cows, horses, birds etc and so forth in the farm very naturally "dirty" while about 3 weeks at such an aunt, I had even forgot my horrible asthme attacks until my parents arrived to take me back at home...instantly I re-fall again "in love with my asthma"! LOL

Fortunately my father was not so idiot and quickly understood that am a child who need a NORMAL VERY NATURALLY BACTERIOUS ENVIRONMENT!

Since that happy accident I live with a dog and cat with no more any asthma. And that doesn't mean that I live "dirty", just I use the ecological products for inside/outside around my living. (Ecological I mean here exclusively biodegradable 100%natural products...*AD* LOL
Childs of mine and my brother' never knew similar problems. Of our friends' as well.

All this "incredible" effect is proved long time ago already, just tztztztz, the "biological" gigants will use genuine propaganda to sell more and more medicaments! Simply because best money-printer will stay for all times -- a FEAR! And because if even 20% of "industrially civilized" world will use only hot steam and wood ash for cleaning *AD* LOL, and profite emotionally equilibrated life style, hahaha,... you know... I don't want to go deeper here...LOL

Yes, am absolute "rebellious" due this and myself live using her own head with some permanently frizzy brain into...*AD* LOL

AND what is most important, that particularly cats purr-smurrrrs are most efficace "medicament' for abnormal blood tention and aggresivity *AD* LOL - I know very well about what I talk!

Once again, if talk about cat's toilet: of mine make out her affairs in the bath(!immediately cleaned! *AD* LOL) - that literally means its "soles" stays relatively clean. On the other hand, cats are always licking themselves, and as Jeanniebean told, cats may be certainly cleaner than human being...;-)

Long story short: say what you want, my cat is the best healer for me, and dog is best supporter of good physical form and always great mood! And in my environment all folks will agree it.

In pets' favour here are way more positive influence than negative. Because it has been already long established that the ability of people to communicate and make friends depends on their attitude to pets as well.

Here I am NOT talking about abnormal prominence, after all, always and everywhere is the most important not to lose well-balanced harmony and clear head...*AD* LOL

THX so far, and sorry for my engrish...
bigsmile

PS: I just forgot mentioned my cat is "bold", so no any allergy possible cause that.

Hi Jointventure.
how do you make these "QUOTE", please? ]The format is {qu0te]The text you want in quotes[/qu0te]

My opinion is that people are waay too concerned about germs. I've heard it said, "If you want a good immune system, eat dirt". Immune systems get developed by being challenged. A child who grows up in a hermetically sealed bubble will never develop a good immune system and will be vulnerable to ordinary "pathogens" that most people will never be phased by. I recall a book that told about ancient asian cultures who intentionally sent their kids to a kind of "camp" to be exposed to eachother's smallpox(?) germs in order to develop the immune system that would protect them from the disease at a later age when it would be much more dangerous.

Yes , what people believe in their mind is the most
powerful drug of them all.

If you get comfort from a cat and believe that it's purr is healing ,

Great , get a cat for every room.

I like fish.

My fish don't get pissed of when I leave them for a week or so.

And when I feel bad , I stick my head in the tank and and chat with them...

Oh , they are so darling.

I love pets too, but not on the bed. I hate rolling over and getting a nose full of cat hair, and my dog (I just lost her last summer) was a german sheppard - there would have been no room for me!

My dog is fifteen years old and sleeps on the floor.

I wouldn't let that bony old SOB in my bed if you paid me.
He snores and farts and no doubt would steal the blankets.

Big Hugs for help, THX, artlo!
You helped me a lot.
-- there was/still persist a little problem with my browsers(ie & mozilla), I could see only "reply" but no ABC or quote or so on below any respond...

Well, here in F'rance exist even kind of amazing holidays for city-kids - spend up to one month in a "dirty" countryside between animals and birds, and the moms of these kids really got forgetting many of present allergies and intolerances.

By the way a presence of all natural germs has very positive influence for adenoïdes - just stop eat particularly the apples (cause some specific acids)

Do you think would be way better live into nuclear reactor?
LOL, unfortunately even there do exist some germs...:-P

OK, am bored now, what we are talking about? :-O
Yea OUR body is pretty nice colonia of germs, bacteria or virus...
Guess what?

THX so far.

boffff, now the smileys won't work...

May be any interest to talk about such a psychology - what exactly mean a type/race of a cat/dog about an owner? ;-) - or it would be "too dangerous" thema?

JointVenture, your English is delightful, if a bit mangled. It's a little embarrassing that while I was trying to help you with the "quote" format, I blew it myself!

I don't think your browser is the problem. this is not a particularly user-friendly message-board. Others I have used do all the work for you when you want to use "bold" or "italics" or "quote", or "make link", etc. With this board, you have to do all the work yourself.

There's a thread somewhere here that explains how to use some of these things, but I'm having trouble finding it.

I don't think it would be too dangerous, but it would be a big topic. Personally, I think that "race", or "breed" is an artificial concept that people use to differentiate people or animals that don't look the same. I don't believe that there is any fundamental genetic basis for such differentiation.

"They give you a lot of love. They kill mice. It has also been proven scientifically that a cat's purr helps the healing of broken bones."

Great Advice , thank you ..

The next time I break my leg I will duct tape a cat to it .

Maybe I am a little bios because I did property management

on and off through my life and my biggest problems with tenets

and property damage was a result of cats.

I also have a degree in Biology and know what their parasites look

like close up . Just a slide sample from their paw is crawling with

Plenty of live microbes.

hmmmm
i dont like animals living inside, although we have rabbits, all are toilet trained but live outside, they can only come in if someone is playing with them..
Our turtle has never wanted to sleep with us.
And the snakes and spiders that the boys usally collect never make it to the beds.

IMO when it comes to animals you can divide people into two categories, the first is for people who live as part of nature and second is for people who live a-part from nature. First category never even occurs to them whether cats have cooties or not, second category obsesses over it and subsequently owns fish....

I make fun of groups of people all the time , fat , thin , cat lovers ,

Besides , men are always getting a bad wrap from women ...

Where did that post above come from? Was it once deleted?

I know what parasites look like close up too ....so..BIG DEAL.! Yes they are ugly, so what? I don't have an obsessive compulsive disorder about it, so I feel lucky. And they look the same whether or not they are on cats, dogs or in your eyelashes. People have parasites too. More than you think.

As for any property damage any pet may cause, the fault is not the pet, it is the owner of the pet. (Wild feral cats are not what we are talking about either. They are just trying to survive.) So blame the human tenants, not the cats.

Furthermore, if you are a cat loving person and you can get a cat to like you enough to purr and help heal your broken bones, then you are lucky. (Taping one to your leg will only get you arrested for cruelty or scratched.)laugh

The frequency of the cat's purr has been scientifically proven to help bone growth and healing.bigsmile

Yes, I know you have a warped sense of humor. I like it. bigsmile

I don't think you would ever be dumb enough or cruel enough to actually tape a cat to your leg. laugh laugh laugh

Well there you have it ..

"As for any property damage any pet may cause, the fault is not the pet, it is the owner of the pet." Agreed , anyone who lets their cats call the shots defiantly has a screw loose.

"The frequency of the cat's purr has been scientifically proven to help bone growth and healing."

ok , the frequency of my last girl friends vibrator seemed to work miracles too...

Bolderdash ,

cats are a pain in the *** .

and you are correct , I would never harm one .

But as a property manager I trapped many stray and brought them to the human society. This was to only way to get them from defecating in the kids play area and around door enterences where we had small stones .

this is true artlo & the current "hygeine hypothesis" has been proposed to explain why allergies are so prevalent in developed countries like ours! Studies have shown that kids raise don farms have less allergies than kids raised in cities. Your immune system is capable of making ~10to the 11th power (so 100,000,000,000) different antigen receptors! Most cat parasites will only cause issues in persons that are immunodeficient as well (and pregnant women).

I also agree with pmarco! I am the 1st type she mentioned and don't think twice about my animals being anywhere I am! I however do not feel bad if I kick them outta the bed for making me uncomfortable...my bed, they can live with it! If a man has an issue with my animals...I don't want/need him around.
