Obama did not "add jobs" to the economy (governments do not create jobs, the private sector does. Anything the government "creates" comes at the expense of the real economy). He has created make-work jobs to prop up the economy temporarily
I just have to keep scratching my head over opinions like this.

Negative on the home run...

Obama was walked to first... by the Republican insistance on rolling back tax cuts to Bush levels.

as a result the economy advanced at all bases and jobs walked home.

Depends on the Democrats in the Senate as to how well the 'next' pitch is hit... their at bat now.

As a 'designated hitter' Mr. Obama is a bit lackluster.

got a series of perfect pitches and swung at not a one...

dont scratch your head sweety, in truth, as I say A BILLION times, people give the PRESIDENT alot more credit/blame than he deserves

it is the CONGRESS and PRESIDENT who have to work together, (with the president being HIGHLY outnumbered) to keep the country running but when things go wrong or right, its the media culture which will lay it solely on the shoulders of the President at the time,,,,

policies in place, by our government in total, have promoted the job growth we see,, OBAMA didnt wave a wand to make it happen, he did it as a member of our GOVERNMENT with other members of our GOVERNMENT

when we go to wars, pull out of wars, or bills get VETOED, I pretty much lay that one on the president

the rest is a smokescreen to alleviate the responsibility of CONGRESS and how well or poorly they are doing,,

How do you figure? We've had 12 months of steady job growth now. Obama didn't cave until last December. The Bush tax cuts have been in effect since 2001. We can all see how well Republicans did with that. How do you credit Conservatives with our recent job creation?

Seriously must be something important comming in politics...

The extreme left is trashing one side.

The extreme right is trashing the other.

An increase in both usually means they are both attempting something that will be bad for all of us.

I just have to keep scratching my head over opinions like this.

Unemployment rates are going down because people are coming off of unemployment, not that they have found jobs. The way that they figure the unemployment rates is messed up because they do not count people who are not on government assistance while unemployed, so the homeless or the people who are "between jobs" and are just waiting it out are not counted. People who went back to college or the house wife/husband who stay at home to take care of the kids are not counted even if they are looking for a job...

Unemployment rates are going down because people are coming off of unemployment,
Then it had nothing to do with the 192,000 new jobs created in February? If what you say is true, then non-farm payrolls would not also be up.

thats not quite right, its not figured based upon government assistance at all

read more at:http://www.bls.gov/cps/cps_htgm.htm#unemployed

basically , they do a sample survey each month of 60,000 households

to be unemployed means to be 'jobless, looking for jobs, and available for work' , regardless of benefit status

msharmony's photo

it does not count those not actively seeking work, but I think thats fair as its hard to find what you dont look for,,,,

its more a sampling of those people who WISH to work but are not employed

Once again, the figures I provided are payroll figures. Not people who report being out of work.
