Getting ready to evacuate here at the coast
following the 8.9 earthquake in Japan, Tsunami sirens going off like mad. Not sure how to pack the cats :-) The mandatory ecacuation vehicles are outside flashing their lights and sirens. In theory we have another hour or so to get out. They expect a 6' wave to hit us (I am 8' above sea level right on the coast) so it looks like I have to go. Dang this cuts into my mingle time. |

Packin' up as fast as I can, probably go to the high school, I think it is on high ground. The emergency vehicles scare da chit outta ya.. 5 cats in the car...with their crapper..I can hardly wait :-( |

So far so good, back in cottage. But a wee nervous because as I was driving in, the ocean is pulled WAY the fook back, never seen the likes, no official stand down order yet but I had to use the facilities :-) Note to self: Next time, wear your pants rightside out and turned front to back to avoid the sitting wedgie. SOMEone musta been nervous dressing hahahahaha |
