why is it everytime I send a message to a girl on this site I get no response? Can someone explain that?

If it makes you feel any better... most of the Chicago people are lame and anti-social... just like in real life! LOL... I wish they had more personality. I tried starting a board yesterday... and I felt like I was talking to myself!

yeah, i have had the same problem with the locals. most of the people i talk to are from places far far away, lol.

maybe they are no longer checking in on the site

maybe they get to many e-mails to answer them all

One idea we had was to show on a person's profile a general idea of how often they responded to emails they received. For example, there might be a green, yellow, or red indicator on someone's profile indicating how responsive they are to messages, i.e. that they respond to emails most of the time, some of the time, or almost never.

That way, everyone has an incentive to reply to messages they receive to keep their profile "green", and you have an idea of who probably will respond and who might not.

What do you guys think of that idea?

yea true that could be it but I thought thats why ppl go on these sites to meet someone local all I know is I'm only 19 this is not how its supposed to be for a kid my age lol

someone may get a bazillion emails and not be able to keep up.

i think that one should simply recommend that it is
courteous to reply - even if briefly to email. i always
do so even though it may take a little while...

I always respond ... it is the polite thing to do. Some forget that real people take the time to send them an email. That deserves a response in my mind.
