looks like a 1.65 trillion dollar deficit for the budget year

yet this is being spun as "savings"

Mr Politician...let me explain this to you...if you r in the red THERE IS NO "SAVINGS"

Let me apply a politician's concept with a simple example

I have 10,000 dollars each year to spend

For 10 years now I have spent 10,500 dollars each year

For the next ten years I will only spend 10,250 dollars

I am so proud of myself for "saving" 2500 hundred dollars

Let's use the "savings" to buy something

Don't forget the interest!

Programs are alloted so much each year.
If, they don't use it all, they will get less in the next year.
They have to waste the extra.

Politicians don't listen.
They won't accept your phone calls.
They won't respond to letters, emails or faxes.
The only thing that would get their attention is a mass uprising.

But, there is no incentive to do so.

Apathy in this country is resulting in the death of it!

laugh Funny because it's true. I wonder what they'd say if they knew Jefferson famously said, "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants".

kind of sounds like a political paraphrasing of 'sometimes you gotta slap a bich'

doesnt matter if its RIGHT just that it keeps things 'in check'

No. The key words are "blood of tyrants". They are necessary to the requirement of revolt. Revolting just for fun is just "revolting".

ahh, quite ambiguous if I must say so

I can relate if one is a 'tyrant' and the other a 'patriot'

there wasnt a clear indication that both exist at the same time

If you read TJ's stuff, it's not ambiguous at all. Even the above quote without context has very clear meaning (even moreso if you know anything about the revolutions occurring on both sides of the Atlantic at the time). In fact, there was a popular slogan at the time in the US that went, "No King But Jesus".

This budget is a joke.

$1.65 trillion this year and then $1.1 trillion next year in deficits.

It is shameful.
