I can say after talking to you people here on mingles I am sure feeling better about being single. I just felt bad for those folks I met that were obviously hurting after their divorce. I have a bit of a soft side to me but don't let that get around. It would ruin my rep as being a tough old military gal.  Yeah yeah....Every time I see your smiling face in your pic....I wish I was your left hand. |

never been married so l don't have a profile that says my family are my hobbies and interests.
or that the only thing l like doing is sitting watcing a dvd with a bottle of wine. l think looking at alot of womens profiles it seems they have put so much into their marriage that they lost their identitity |

Just calling it like it is Baby. Don't regret what you haven't done. Don't second guess yourself now. Every divorced woman would trade places with you. Every divorced man would trade places with me. Just to not have to go through the hell they have been through. Not to say that your life or my life has been easy....cause it hasn't. It would have been just as easy to grasp at straws and hope for the best... Still...at this point....you and I have been the ones to stick to our guns and NOT settle for less than what we are worth. You keep your chin up beautiful. You have done the right thing. So have I. not EVERY divorced woman, krupa ( referencing moi) I think Navygirl is an awesome gal pal too, but from my perspective I am very leery of men who have never been married -for a variety of reasons but I don't think it's anything to be critical about. We make the choices we make. I think NG put her military career first as for me - Ima still workin on being a woman who was married for 17yrs who looks better than some women half my age - love me when Ima theory buster Thanks for the kind words sweetest girl. You are correct that I did put my career first which is why I never married. Fact is even when I was in a relationship, no man would wait for me when I was away for a 6 month tour. I don't regret my decision but I just feel for those who are struggling to cope with their divorces. I couldn't understand or even relate to their pain but I gave them my shoulder none the less. I always thought of myself of being a very strong person but not sure how I would have handled someone that had been in my life for over 20 years and then suddenly have them out of my life. I can't even imagine how hard that would be to take. |

I think it would be hard to have all the hobbies that I do and trying to raise kids. I took care of my 11 year old nephew for a week and that almost killed me. I think parents deserve medals for raising kids as its a hard job and takes a lot of love and dedication to raise a child. The do indeeed sacrifice a lot to raise their children which unfortunately does include their hobbies. |
