Now that they did their non effective repeal on the health care that means nothing to anyone.

Can they get down to the real issues maybe???

Well they better find jobs for all those people they want to pay for health care.

Jobs would be good.

Cause we know after extending the Bush tax cuts to the rich that noone is concerned with the deficit.

I believe the president said something like this:

"Elections have consequences, and I won."

Oh.. how right he was.

Now its the republicans turn.. Deal with it..

I resent the waste of my tax dollars on this meaningless exercise in stupidity. Just think - we PAID the salary of 435 representatives and their staffs for this complete and utter waste of time.

Yep. $175K per year - $87.5 per hour x 435 just for the Reps.

Let's just say the staff salaries quadruple it. 4 x $87.5 x 435/hr.

=$152K per hour for the full house and their staffs.

Over the course of a couple weeks they'll spend easily 20 hours on it.

3 Million bucks for.... bupkus

I would prefer if they would just send me the $3M and instead do
something productive.

Grrrr....

Their on salary we would have been paying for nothing if they didn't try to make a point.

Could have been paying them for working on this economy or something worth while.

Again it accomplished nothing.

They won the election.. They set the agenda.

Pretty simple concept.

I realize you didn't support their electoral victory so this vote would be meaningless to you.

To those of us that did support them this vote shows that they got the message.

Obama and the democrats wasted an entire year on healthcare while unemployment went through the roof.

The republicans spent a couple of days doing what the people that elected them wanted.

That is damn effective government..

So the people who voted for them like symbolic wastes of time?

Cool.

I would like for them to actually work and do something constructive for this country.

I hope that isn't asking too much from them there REpubs

The party of no will vote yes if they are demonstrating that they can impede progress in this country huh?

I agree with this symbolic gesture. The latest poll is in and only 1 in every 10 Americans are ok with Obamacare.

They disagree with Congresscare because it did not do enough not because of its existence.

Nice try though,

well, time will tell

but it will be so ironic to see the flip side,, when another year is spent on this and people claim that NOTHING else has been worked on(because , of course, if the news didnt report it , it didnt happen)

they can make repeal their priority just like reform was a priority,, how will it play out any differently

it is what it is, we will continue to be the only western country that doesnt ensure affordable healthcare or we will join with our allies,,,,,,but all the other CRAP that goes on will continue and this issue will be forgotten the minute the next big story develops

how some politician is un american, or how another is adulterous, or how another is not the brightest bulb in the box, or how the country is in imminent danger from the 'enemy' of choice, or how the 'socialists' are going to make this a country without freedom,,,,etc,,,etc,,

Its ethics, you promise something you do your best to achieve it.

Dragoness's photo
Wed 01/19/11 06:49 PM
They care about ethics suddenly when it didn't matter all the rest of time huh?

How funnylaugh

What isn't funny is the wasted time and money they took to do nothing.
