Let's all lower our voices, form a circle and sing Kumbaya? Sad as it is, that's the message the mainstream gullible media are all calling for. Even the Pima County Sheriff, Clarence Dupnik, seemed tired and subdued when he appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

It was as if someone had pulled him aside, constrained him and told him to tone down his words after he said that Arizona had become a Mecca of prejudice and bigotry.

Sheriff Dupnik's words were spoken with passion and honesty in the aftermath of the horror of the 6 deaths and critically wounding of Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who was shot in the head by a crazed maniac at a public gathering in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, January 8. Soon after those words were broadcast to the nation right wing radio shock jock, Neal Boortz, was all over that statement in a nanosecond. He was joined by Arizona's right-wing Senator Jon Kyl demanding Dupnik's resignation.

That's how it works in Republican/Tea Party Land. Instant response in a blitzkrieg-like attack at the slightest hint that Republican-fomented violence during the 2010 election campaign could have had anything to do with the shooting of a Democratic congresswoman who won reelection in a Republican-heavy district. Even the Dixie Chicks were not attacked with such instant fury by the right-wing Dobermans as was Sheriff Dupnik.

After the Republicans and their Tea Party spawn spread the most despicable lies over health care reform, inflammatory attack ads like Second Amendment remedies urging some lone wolf to "take out" a Democratic Party candidate, the media are exhorting us to lower our voices.

Sarah Palin's Reload web site posted gun sight cross hairs over Democrats' names and congressional districts and a withering fusillade of right-wing rhetoric spewed out the mouths of hatemonger nonpareil, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News Beck, Palin and Hannity during the 2010 election.

Xenophobic laws in Arizona were driven by bigotry and aimed directly at brown-skinned people, nonstop spewage from right-wing birthers are still doing whatever they can to plant seeds of suspicions about the president's birth certificate. It just never ends.

Yes, let's all gather round and let the healing take place -- until next year when once again the media will be teeming with the same Republican deluge of incendiary attacks and vitriol that succeeded so well in 2010.

We all know this: Republicans will do whatever it takes to win. Nobody can come close to their propaganda machine when gaining power is their chief motivator.

Just ask former Georgia U.S. Senator Max Cleland who lost three limbs fighting for his country in Viet Nam only to face Republican charges in 2002 that he was a friend of Osama bin Laden and a traitor to his country. His opponent, Saxby Chambliss, won. He never served a lick in uniform.

After all, hasn't that always been the Republican way? Talk big, incite fear and violence but get surrogates like their Tea Party extremists to strut around town hall meetings with their Gadsden flags, Glocks and Berettas and incendiary slogans, waving signs accusing the president of not being a legitimate American citizen, accusing him of being a Nazi, Marxist-Socialist who wants the terrorists to win, take over health care and create "death panels."

Now that a Democratic Party congresswoman has finally been "taken out", not by a random shooting, but by a planned and deliberate assassination, we are all told to lick our wounds and play nice to a Republican Party leadership that spent the last two years subverting our government, tearing down our president and on record vowing to shut down every federal agency unless they get their way.

And what is that way? Spend the rest of this year throttling progress, stalling legislation, demagogue, lie and threaten to "take out" more of their opponents by whatever means in their arsenal of hate and violence.

Nobody now can say we weren't warned.

Is any of this going to change your agenda? Nope..

Is any of this going to keep us from trying to expose your agenda? Nope..

I have always found and encouraged Left wingers to talk all they want because no one does a better job of exposing themselves to be nothing more than fraudsters than they do.

I love the smirking chimp..

How dense can you be? Blame the Republicans for the exact same things Democrats do?

This is weak and shows how brain washed YOU are to believe everything the media that satisfies your eros starts saying. "Ohhhh Republicans Evil, Democrats GOOD!"

Our whole system has failed us. And singling out Sarah Palin and saying "She caused this," dude, get over it. It happened. A deranged man acted on his own with absolutely no credible proof Sarah Palin was even remotely involved other than to toss "Circumstantial Evidence" at us. All you are proving here to me and many others who don't buy the BS that you are just as uninformed and unable to get past party affiliation as many liberals believe to the contrary.

Oddly why is it that every single time Republicans in office = Jobs for Americans. Democrats in office = Jobs leaving the United States.

Reform must come from all sides to be effective but instead you are acting like the propaganda poster child for the Democratic Committee. You seriously need to evaluate the Bullshiit you are spewing becasue I am not buying it. Many others here are not buying it. Your equating all that goes wrong to the Republican party is a bad Nazi Tactic! What next, I teach a dog to 'Heil Hitler' as a joke and I will get branded an anti Semite or will I have pissed off Neo-Nazis at my door demanding my dogs heart in their hand for mocking Hitler?

Oh no I got one even better, What if I make posters that say "Spokesman for the Anti Christ" with the Reverend Al Sharpton and the reverend Jessie Jackson on it? Now am I a racist becasue I don't like those two black men out of the millions who walk the planet??? ((FRANKLY THEY ARE BUT THAT IS ANOTHER SUBJECT))

Duke, check your zipper, your liberalism is showing!!!!!

Now for the Sheriff who said Arizona is a state of Bigotry, VOTE SUCKING BASTARD! Oddly Sheriff Arroypo has been silent in all of this and he is the one man from there I really respect for his VERY Draconian views on handling prisoners!

It is thinking like this that does not allow us to face the real problems in the system. We are too busy pointing fingers in all the wrong directions.

OH, BTW...

Deliberate assassination??? More like Amateurish assassination attempt! he only wounded her! She got lucky where the "common people" around her were not!

JFK was deliberate, MLK was deliberate. One shot, one kill! That is a real assassination! How about the two that were sniping people at random back east a few years ago? Something like 12 people dead before the killers were caught on accident... The DC Killers? Forgot that?

A congress woman gets picked off... SO FUCQUING WHAT??? People die all the time. What made her so special over the others caught in the crossfire attempting to get at her? They don't count? Had this been a professional assassination she would be DEAD and no one else would be harmed like JFK and MLK.

You are equating totally dissimilar things. SHAME ON YOU! If someone hires a killer they hire professionals. They do not and allow me to repeat this one more time so it sinks in, THEY DO NOT PUT LUNATICS UP TO A JOB LIKE THIS AND HOPE THEY CAN HIDE FROM IT BECAUSE OF CREDIBILITY ISSUES LATER! To kill someone and get away with it you need professionals, not some 'loner off of the street with no life.'

Can I get a Hoo-Ra out there?

No we are pointing fingers in the right direction. The republicans need their hate speach its the only way they can get people to vote for them. Browse the comments
of the right wing propagandists, Beck, Lymbaugh, Ann Coulter etc etc.

If we criticize their rhetoric using historical fact and reliable data are we using hate speech against them? I think not.

''My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building.''

''We need to execute people like (John Walker Lindh) in order to physically intimidate liberals.''
''We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee. That's just a joke, for you in the media.''

Her, Palin, and Glenn Beck should be arrested.

If they arrested the victim of the shooting yesterday for saying, "You're dead."

Why do they get away with their threats?

When they can't answer a question they just avoid the subject.
There was an excellent debate going on on page 1 here, http://mingle2.com/topic/show/294354 last night, and they simply flipped the page without answering.
With the lone exception of MightyMoe, but when I looked this morning they had simply flipped the page and acted like the question and debate never happened.

Then they ignored the thread all together and simply continued their diatribe.
I suspect they will do the same here.

It awful nice that invictus has given his permission and encouragement to liberals to talk though.

It does become hard to defend nonsense so maybe give the right a break for the difficulty?
