Frankly Democrats fall back on hate speech. Obama was proof of that but people fail to see that. People need a villain but unfortunately it is SO easy to blame Republicans for a problem both sides have!

Worst is the Media Paraphrases everything. I could say, "I hate that person because they are so stupid," but if some crazy azzhole does shoot them suddenly I said, "Someone needs to shoot this stupid person." I am appalled how easily people see the mote in others eyes when they cannot see the log in their own!

The whole government is the problem. American Voters are the problem. the Agenda of media owners is the problem. Greed is the problem.

I wouldn't put it past the machine to be not only manipulating the Media but also the vote.

Who really knows who voted how?
I doubt the machine counts votes written in.
You only get the choices they put on the card.
Can't rely on people. They can be corrupted.
Can't rely on electronic counters because, the one who reads off the results is part of the machine.
The machine lives and thrives on money and power.
It will do whatever is necessary to maintain the monopoly.

Let's all lower our voices, form a circle and sing Kumbaya? Sad as it is, that's the message the mainstream gullible media are all calling for. Even the Pima County Sheriff, Clarence Dupnik, seemed tired and subdued when he appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

It was as if someone had pulled him aside, constrained him and told him to tone down his words after he said that Arizona had become a Mecca of prejudice and bigotry.

Sheriff Dupnik's words were spoken with passion and honesty in the aftermath of the horror of the 6 deaths and critically wounding of Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords who was shot in the head by a crazed maniac at a public gathering in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, January 8. Soon after those words were broadcast to the nation right wing radio shock jock, Neal Boortz, was all over that statement in a nanosecond. He was joined by Arizona's right-wing Senator Jon Kyl demanding Dupnik's resignation.

That's how it works in Republican/Tea Party Land. Instant response in a blitzkrieg-like attack at the slightest hint that Republican-fomented violence during the 2010 election campaign could have had anything to do with the shooting of a Democratic congresswoman who won reelection in a Republican-heavy district. Even the Dixie Chicks were not attacked with such instant fury by the right-wing Dobermans as was Sheriff Dupnik.

After the Republicans and their Tea Party spawn spread the most despicable lies over health care reform, inflammatory attack ads like Second Amendment remedies urging some lone wolf to "take out" a Democratic Party candidate, the media are exhorting us to lower our voices.

Sarah Palin's Reload web site posted gun sight cross hairs over Democrats' names and congressional districts and a withering fusillade of right-wing rhetoric spewed out the mouths of hatemonger nonpareil, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News Beck, Palin and Hannity during the 2010 election.

Xenophobic laws in Arizona were driven by bigotry and aimed directly at brown-skinned people, nonstop spewage from right-wing birthers are still doing whatever they can to plant seeds of suspicions about the president's birth certificate. It just never ends.

Yes, let's all gather round and let the healing take place -- until next year when once again the media will be teeming with the same Republican deluge of incendiary attacks and vitriol that succeeded so well in 2010.

We all know this: Republicans will do whatever it takes to win. Nobody can come close to their propaganda machine when gaining power is their chief motivator.

Just ask former Georgia U.S. Senator Max Cleland who lost three limbs fighting for his country in Viet Nam only to face Republican charges in 2002 that he was a friend of Osama bin Laden and a traitor to his country. His opponent, Saxby Chambliss, won. He never served a lick in uniform.

After all, hasn't that always been the Republican way? Talk big, incite fear and violence but get surrogates like their Tea Party extremists to strut around town hall meetings with their Gadsden flags, Glocks and Berettas and incendiary slogans, waving signs accusing the president of not being a legitimate American citizen, accusing him of being a Nazi, Marxist-Socialist who wants the terrorists to win, take over health care and create "death panels."

Now that a Democratic Party congresswoman has finally been "taken out", not by a random shooting, but by a planned and deliberate assassination, we are all told to lick our wounds and play nice to a Republican Party leadership that spent the last two years subverting our government, tearing down our president and on record vowing to shut down every federal agency unless they get their way.

And what is that way? Spend the rest of this year throttling progress, stalling legislation, demagogue, lie and threaten to "take out" more of their opponents by whatever means in their arsenal of hate and violence.

Nobody now can say we weren't warned.

Is any of this going to change your agenda? Nope..

Is any of this going to keep us from trying to expose your agenda? Nope..

I have always found and encouraged Left wingers to talk all they want because no one does a better job of exposing themselves to be nothing more than fraudsters than they do.

I love the smirking chimp..

Please stay on topic and leave personal attacks off this thread, thank you.

it is the topic... libs are the biggest liars and haters, and can't even see that for themselves...whenever i see that just one of you lefties decide it is both parties, then we can talk logically, until that, just keep putting your hate filled blog posts up and keep on hating...

FYI, I am a Centrist Moderate. There is a huge difference. and as far as unsubstantiated facts you have tossed your share and your answer is to say I have no facts?

I have seen how all of these glorious systems fail. One is people do not have to pay back benefits they draw on.

The Liberal Answer to everything is more taxes and more hand outs.

Welfare has failed us. Labor Unions have failed us, did they keep jobs here? Our government has failed us over and over. And worst is screws like you keep voting in these losers. And worst is you chose not to pin the blame where it belongs but to use a shooting like the one in Arizona to blame the Republican party of the exact same shiit the Democratic party members use to get votes. They lie, manipulate facts, use hate speech, after all did not Obama say Corporate greed is White man's greed? And on top of that they whip all you sheeple into this foaming at the mouth frenzy for change they cannot even make or offer us like accountability and financial responsibility!

I love your answer. Typical of a know it all with no real world knowledge!

You want to paint humanity as so good yet you over look the evil of human nature!

Momma Grizzly Mauls Smokey the Bear

Outdoors enthusiast Sarah Palin, who sees sport in blasting wolves with assault rifles from helicopters, surely knows the practical message of iconic fictional character Smokey The Bear: "Only you can prevent forest fires."

Whether Momma Grizzly can really see Russia from her home in Alaska, as she once claimed, she certainly can see the clear meaning of Alaska Statute Section 41.15.110 titled "Uncontrolled Spread of Fire; Leaving Fire Unattended."

Under a provision in that statue section, a person is guilty of a misdemeanor if they neglect "to make every effort possible" to extinguish a fire they've knowingly set.

Now former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is not guilty of literally starting wildfires in the forests around her beloved Wasilla home. But she is complicit in figuratively firing up the dry tinder in America's forests of political discontent with incendiary rhetoric delivered with the clear intent to inflame.

Incendiary?

Damn right!

What else describes Palin repeatedly calling political opponent Barack Obama a "terrorist" during the Fall 2008 presidential campaign - a characterization carrying incendiary overtones in America's post-9/11 climate.

Flicking off criticisms about her inappropriate campaign rhetoric, Palin knowingly fired opposition to President Obama's health-care reform telling supporters to "reload" not retreat - slick phrasing embedding incendiary reference to firearms.

And dumping hot cinders on civility, Palin put gun sight cross-hairs on a map targeting twenty Democratic members of Congress to be unseated.

Irrespective of Palin's indignant claim that such imagery is harmless political hyperbole the cross-hairs graphics were as ominous as incendiary.

One of those Congress members put in Palin's cross-hairs, of course, was Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was critically wounded during that recent massacre where a crazed gunman killed six and wounded 14.

That Tucson shooting rampage is not an isolated act in America's tinderbox political arena, where right-wing anti-government adherents repeatedly engaged in shootouts with police last year in incidents that included a March 2010 shooting at the Pentagon, a May shooting near Memphis and a July shooting in California.

It is no coincidence that President Obama has been the target of more death threats than any president in American history, according to the Secret Service.

That at least some of those threats against the President result directly from the charged anti-Obama rhetoric comparing him to Hitler and calling him un-American is as certain as the connection Smokey the Bear draws between reckless conduct and ruinous forest fires. A forest fire destroys whether it starts from accident or arson...
