Civilizations based upon the works of the 'gods' of the greeks and Egyptians no longer exist... they have faded away.

Ergo... Not a 'pulse' initiated by god.

Just look at the history.

The Abrahamic religions are simply the religions of the conquerors.

Had the Greeks been that arrogant we'd all be worshiping Zeus today.

The Abrahamic religions were basically forced onto people by horrible threats of danger or death should you fail to worship them.

In fact, "blaspheme" against the Koran is still reason for the death penalty in some modern Islamic countries. This all comes from the "Old Testament God" (or Torah) that has God commanding people to kill sinners and heathens.

This isn't a "pulse from God". It's just a very brutal religion.

Sure Modern Day Christianity has become so watered-down and has lost it's political authority to the point where it can't do anything more than pester people.

But look at history. Things were always like that. Not even close.

The reason these religions are still "throbbing" today is because they were inherently cruel and mean religions throughout history refusing to take "no" for an answer.

These religions are basically dead horses just kicking out of momentum. They are just ghosts from the past that are still twitching.

They won't be around for very long in terms of geological time. Give them another couple millennia and these Abrahamic religions will be viewed by future generations just as we view Greek Mythology today. Just superstitions of past societies.

Damage other parts of society come BECAUSE of the comsmetic surgery performed not because the underlying reason was wrong.

and they will be around in a few mellennia... God will by then have sent another messenger for people of the future to cosmetically alter and argue about and use as justification to murder...

He never gives up.

We don't seem to grow up.

Yet still he tries.

It's not my fault you have no sense of beauty while looking at the universe or the fossil records.

What does the above quote have in common with this quote?

Maybe it's the fact that some are actually scared of the "beauty" and not the other way.

Perhaps some people are just "ugly" and the only way they can feel better is to put down everything and everyone.

Yet a prime example of the title of the thread.

The last quote was first, the first quote was last.

So I'll show an example of how I came to the first quote.

History shows that when man receives beauty.

Man waits not even a century before performing cosmetic surgury upon it...

Perhaps thinking that 'plastic' surgury is necessary to bring out the true beauty.

Example...

Book known as the 'bible' was submitted to 'surgury' 300 years after its principle figure passed into the hands of god.

Further example.

Book know as the 'koran' was submitted to 'surgury approxmatily 300 years after its principle figure passed into the hands of 'allah'.

What causes mankind to feel it is greater than the source of its greatness?

I think it is because some people can't handle the truth. It may be because it seems so strange to them. Take what John F. Kennedy said, "Think not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." To the early settlers something like that was not needed to be said. But during the 60's it might have been something that needed to be said.

Acceptance is the key in my way of thinking. Can one handle reality on its own terms? Can you accept a tree for its own benefits like shade; A place to build a nest or a place to get out of the rain like animals do or do you think it would look better as lumber to build a house with?

When it comes to God do you think God needs an interpreter or someone to speak for him? The Bible personifies God and gives God human attributes. It might make God easier to accept for some. Especially during the early ages when the unknown was so terribly frightening. Ignorance can be very scary even though it can be bliss at the same time. But does 'knowing' make it any easy to accept reality own its own terms? Does 'knowing' make one blissful? I think that 'knowing' can be just as scary as not 'knowing' sometimes.

The neat thing about the Bible I like is when it says of God just, "I Am" not "I think therefore I am." I mean if you don't have the knowledge to just know that I am then how will having to think about it make it any more apparent? Acceptance can be a wonderful thing. But I think some people just can accept acceptance.

What is "truth"? Who has it?

As Pilate asked in Jesus Christ, Superstar :

What is truth?
Is truth unchanging law?
We both have truths
Are mine the same as yours?

I have more to say on this thread, but I am preparing my online classes which start Tuesday. I'll be back.

It used to be something children would say a lot. "You can't handle the truth." When parents would ask them to tell them the truth.

Truly. flowers

And just because the people who created those stories claim that it's "blaspheme" against God to question them or deny them doesn't make them true either.

It only goes to show how easily men can tell lies in an effort to push their agendas. They'll lie about anything, including a make-believe god.

Thiers really a very simple Truth to the command of Blessings her now and forever more.

Its not locked up in some secret vault for all of Humanity to search for and try to find..Like Blind Faith.

Blind Faith can not see it only wishes.

Yahweh did not leave anything not lit on a Hill.. He has put it in open sight for those who Trust in Him.

They know thier is not a doubt. Say to this mountain and it will move and it will.

The earth is under our authority but we can not fathom such a thing.

Mystries are confounded by the phisical life of Exsistance but who are we?

No its left for a child to see with a believing Heart that Abba will be thier That Abba Does not lie to us.

The simple truth can not be found by those who do not want it to be for Desire comes from within to Uphold the Tenets of Abba.

So what is required for all things to be possible?

To do your best, Believing and Your Faith will not only be for you but to those you love as they are under your Wing as a Mother who protects her Young.

Your Faith will move Mountains Because all Faith is the Will of Abba. and The will of Abba is The Faith of the Children.. Blessings...Miles

to understand what is written a person has to go back to the original language, culture, word picture and many nuances of any ancient writings especially when it sounds strange or absurd which is very healthy for the head -mental exercise extreme(water upon the waters) sorry not my search.

yeah i'm so sure you're tolerant toward muslims or you'd keep an open mind toward someone that believed the idea that religion spawned from extra terrestrial intervention.

I really don't know what you're trying to say here...

Are you saying YHWH (Allah, God) is not extra terrestrial?

He is causation of terrestrial...

Yet as terrestrial is a sub part of universal...

so also must he be terrestrial.
