It is another source of members, more members = more money. This site doesn't run on leaves from a tree, it needs money. I welcome the change, hopefully it will boost the sites revenue a bit which will in turn create a more comfortable environment where are recommendations are put into action.

Unfortunately, as much as some of you may disagree with the move...it is necessary to keep this site free for basic members.

You probably know this, but for those who do not. You can change the forum font color at the bottom of this page This will not change the overall appearance, but it does make for more comfortable reading in the forums. just click on the color bar, and you can choose virtually any color.

I honestly don't think the connection is going to encompass anything that has to do with your personal Facebook page. More or less if it ends up turning out like other sites the biggest change is we will have a like button at the bottom of each post that is somehow connected to Facebook...we push the like button, the post makes it to Facebook with our comments underneath it.

Although I'm sure there is more to it, but basically your Facebook page is going to remain as visible as it is on Facebook currently.

Haha, mine is actually changed through Windows itself. My font color automatically comes out purple.

It will be good for us, guys.
More people = more forum posters,
and, more people in the dating pool.

Soufie:
More men just means a greener pool.

Really? I was thinking 'yellower'. Does pee react with chlorine to turn green?

More realistically, a trickle

This is the first time this week I have been called a trickle.

I came from FB but not through the connecting door you guys built. I found out about Mingle2 on fb then came in through your front door. The door that insisted on getting my cell phone number and almost lost me as a member before I even joined. I finally was able to by-pass that phone page. I'm not about to give my phone number to a random dating site.

Hi Samantha_Q,
Yes, that is a co-registration offer. If you un-tick the box on that offer, you shouldn't be bothered with it. For those who may have overlooked that, simply reply to the message with the word "stop" and you should be removed from any further contact.

There's a button that says 'bypass" but when you click it you're taken to another phone page. Not only that but the page is designed to look like it's from your website and I thought it was from your website until I read your comment above. For a few moments I was thinking giving my phone number was a requirement to join your site. I almost left. You guys might want to try asking some neutral person, someone without an account, to join your site while you guys watch and see that happens. I'm willing to bet you've lost some potential customers due to that page.

I hope you guys are getting paid well by whatever spam site you're working with because I can almost guarantee you're losing people, people who say...."No way are you getting my number"....and then they stop their registration.

Would this allow me to access mingle from my mobile phone using an app?

At the moment whenever i try to log on to mingle from my phone, the pop up ad that appears on the log on page stops me from being able to go any further.

Im all for modernisation and change. I think a proper mingle2 app should be developed, and i believe it would result in people using the site a lot more often.

Facebook has a lot of viruses on their site and I really don't like the idea of mingle joining it.

Facebook contains no viruses...that would be a pretty big breaking point if they did.
