Heard on the news last night about a couple that were blessed with Twin boys through the IVF program. When hearing they were having boys, they "chose" to abort.......why ? Because they wanted a girl......a girl because they wanted to "replace" the little girl whose life was lost recently. Can anyone justify that for me, or am I from a diffrent fricken planet

many cultures that place boys above girls have such practices, in the case of the poverty stricken the parents generally just leave the new-born girl-child out to die..is that any better??? this case was an unusual role reversal.

So they went through all the trouble and cost of invetro fertilization. In a test tube. And having it placed in the uterus and then decided when it was a boy they aborted? Wow that is definitely different. I guess it is their right as it is the right for women anyway but it seems a lot of wasted money and energy for nothing.

I guess i was looking more to the point that couples use IVF because of any number of medical conditions that makes it difficult for them to do so naturally. But even more so the whole idea of replacing a lost child. Is that even possible?

I CAN SAY THEY TOTALY HAVE NO HEART THEY SHOULDNT EVEN BE ALLOWED TO HAVE KIDS i had abortion but i was a young teenager and i was very confused from that time i realized i was depressed didnt know why untill a few yrs ago i was going through post abortion syndrome i have 2 beautiful children and 3 awsome grandkids

I have an open view on this subject. I don't like it when people ***** about it. I feel it's not like women are having an abortion becuse it's the fad thing to do. But even I cann't cut this couple any slack on it.
