I prepared My grandmothers German hot potato salad yesterday, and my grandfather hot German sausage patties. It brought many memories back. My grandmother's family was from Switzerland, they were considered German Swiss. So I did get a hold of some family still living there and made a German Christmas supper 2 yrs ago. My mom really enjoyed it. But would be nice to have my grandmothers actual recipes. To me It is like having them in the kitchen with you while you prepare their recipes. I guess in many ways longing for better times.  I hear ya

 Good morning everybody. Morning temps 38 degrees. Warm outside this morning. Afternoon temps going up to a high of 61 degrees.

Heavy fog, here in the midwest. Yesterday & today being rather warm, but will cool down sunday. Poss more snow, then.
Working an afternoon shift at steaks, got a couple good specials, so sales have been decent. Have a meeting, mid morning, but here till then. Coffee on, grab a cup. |
