So this is sort of about a bar... thought it might fit in here.

Anyways, I'm going to a apply for a bartending job today, but I've never done it before. They said they not particularly looking for someone with experience, so I hope I've got a shot. And I was wondering if there were any bardenders on here that might give me a tip or two? Things to say or ask during an interview?

Learn the recipes. Unless, It is just beer you're pouring. I loved getting compliments on how the drinks I made tasted. The tips were just an added bonus.

What kind of bar is it btw?

Watered down drinks are par for the course (higher margin of profit)

Stiff drinks will bring repeat business.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!

The tighter your jeans and the more exposed cleavage, the better your tips will be.

I am not lying and I doubt I will ever see the benefit if you take my advise but, I am not kidding. My tips are based on skin and jean tightness...so is every one elses.

K I bartended for a lot of years (back in the day) It was a blast and I made great money! I didnt know a thing when I started...I totally bullcrapped my way into it. There used to be a book called the Bartenders Bible I studied it and learned how to mix drinks...It wasnt rocket science. Flirting and playing with customers is fun, but remember to respect yourself and they will too...You will be great Doll no worries drinker

As far as interviewing goes, enthusiasm goes a long way. Just relax, be yourself and act like you want this job because it is what you want to do...not because you need the money. You'll do great. flowerforyou

Thank you guys so much! I just got back from there. Showed a little cleavage, filled out the application, smiled at the manager, and told him how excited I was to apply because the bar's two blocks from my house. Hopefully I'll at least get an interview. :)

You're awesome.

I would hire you!

There would only be two reasons that the guy wouldnt

A: He is gay

B: You are FINE! (His dumpy old lady will make his life a living hell if he dont hire some queer dude with a harelip or else make his miserable life suck even more......ugly wives are like that)

I bet you get the job though.
