As I've already posted, private companies can do the same job for 30% less. That's not your fault, that's the fault of the unions and government that puts up with such waste.

In the case of NYC, the intentional slowdown was unacceptable, because it was public workers (they cannot legally strike because of the Taylor Law) and their slowdown caused chaos and possibly several deaths.

If you don't like the job, then quit. There are plenty of private companies that would do the same job for 30% less money.

Why doesn't New York city sue those self same Unions on behalf of their citizens...?

New York did not cause the slowdown... Idiots did.

How old is this thread?
Its old fanta I am just waiting to hear if they actualy had a case or its all hot air. From what I understand the the Biliionair mayor of new york, Blooomber ranked as the number 8th riches american laid off a great deal of new yorks snow crews and when the city got paralised by the blizzard they deflected the blame to the workers, typical republican fox news antics.

Mayor Mike has become America's 8th-richest citizen after a transaction put a solid valuation on Bloomberg LPhttp://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/54/400list08_Michael-Bloomberg_C610.html

Why would it? This thread was created in response to a work slowdown on the part of NYC sanitation workers. If they slowed down over the past few days, then yes, it would effect the topic of this thread. But have you noticed that this storm was worse than the one that prompted this topic, yet it got cleaned up more quickly? That goes directly to supporting those whistle blowers who reported the illegal actions of their supervisors and co-workers.
