Dude that is a tough call. If I was just eating a bananna or having one in a bananna split, I would cut out the brown. If I was using it for pudding I would just cut it up. Hopes this helps.......smokin

Women eating bananas four to six times a week halved their risk of developing a certain disease compared to those who did not eat this fruit.

The brown spots are actually "sweet spots". The more spots, the sweeter the banana...eat it!

If they even begin to turn brown, I throw them
in the freezer, which stops the ripening process.
Retrieve and peel at will.

You can cut them in half widthwise, roll in melted
chocolate, then crushed nuts, I like pecans, put
a popsicle stick in them, quite the popular treat.

Or, when browning begins, toss the banana in the blender,
with a little milk, sugar, ice, cinnamon. Yummy shake :-)

I was not asking for recipes or cooking. That is why I put it in General. I wanted to know who eats the brown spots and who doesn't
and why!

please move the topic back to General Discussion. It is not a
recipe/cooking home&garden post
