People stop being pretty/handsome the minute they start acting ugly.

I try to never ACT ugly, but sometimes I AM ugly...

Though a black Labrador retrievers nipples look like Hersheys chocolate kisses, they dont taste anything like them.

Well I was going to go in total agreement with you Ms Boop, then Krupa acted all handsome funny with his comment, so now he's handsome to me when really he's butt ugly. Spitting on him does help some.
So I guess it works both ways for me -
ugly - but act handsome/funny = turn on - check
handsome - but act ugly = turn off - check

I AM all about being butt ugly. You sweet talker you. Ptooie.

another realization.....

Found this one out last night.....

My mom may be a 63 year old short, wide woman with bad knees but, she absolutely handed me my @$$ while we played Drinking Dance Dance Revolution.

THAT will teach a soul real humility.

Krupa -- I would have thought you would have learned long, long ago -- never underestimate any woman - whether old, young, short, tall, wide, thin, good joints or bad - cause we'll hand you your *** each and everytime

I've met people others considered ugly
And they were the most beautiful to me!!

I have also met people (no mames) who everyone said "meet tammy meet" "they look so hot!"
And they, because of their personalities turned out to be ugly as Shizz!

Words of wisdom from a poem entitled "Blessings", author unknown, that I keep on my fridge. This is just a snippet of it...

Some days misery no longer loves company: it puts itself out of it.
There's rest for the weary.
There's turning back.
There are guarantees.
I can mean that.
You can quite put your finger on it.


I love this poem for it's wisdom and message of hope. My dad sent it to me after my husband died, it is beginning to yellow and show signs of having been packed and moved twice since I received it but I love the feeling of hope it evokes for me.

I like that.

Of course my favorite saying "touchstone" would have to be Desiderata.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
