you mean choose between a friendship or a relationship with the same person... otherwise the question doesn't really makes sense as there's lots of fish in the sea.

And to choose what kind of relationship to have with someone, friend or partner, depends on what feelings I have for the person, and vise versa of course.

What if Sania means:

to choose love means losing a friend, but to choose friendship means missing out on love

For example, what if you love someone, but that person is with someone you know? Is love more important than the friendship?

Granted, the interpretation by Himself provides a valid question too. I'm just tossing this out to gain clarification.

Good point.

Could the OP clarify?

There is no love without friendship. Either from friend to friend ,from parent to children or from husband to wife. I personally see Jesus Christ as a friend who loves me for who i am (strength and weaknesses) before seeing him as a loving Lord. But there is friendship without love when you carry hidden evil intention

I would chose friendship because it is the best foundation in each case

Hi Mixtee waving

We are just unsure of what the Opening Poster (OP) meant by the question. For instance, does a friend not approve of the OP's lover? Does the lover not approve of the friend? There are about 8 or 9 different ways to interpret the question without clarification.

We do know that it is a choice between friendship and love. We don't know how these are related within this specific case. Your response has just covered one interpretation we hadn't yet considered. Until the OP returns, we don't know if this will help with dilemma or not though.
