Also I hate how the Intimacy/Sex thread allows people to still post "would you bang the person above you"/"is the person above you hot/sexy/Canadian". Those should all be moved to "Games", so that you actually talk about.....sex and intimacy, right?

I don't like the fact someone can go into stealth mode and run around checking people out and there is no way to know if they were around, and also you find someone in your area who is on this site and they have not been around (or at least it doesn't show they were around) for over 30 days. That is why my profile is like it is. This place sucks and i prefer in the flesh meeting someone.

It would have to be that here, or ANY sights, PEOPLE ONLY MOSTLY PLAY..

I just LIKE TO remind folks that friendships on here MATTER TO ME,,and to MANY others on her as well.

Its a community of people drawn together not only for the playing and fun,

But also for the ability to FEEL they can talk about issues of the heart to others in questions and emails as to being real with finding help or just to believe in as a friend to them...

You see, I AM. And through the years on here I have spent most of it
talking to people who didn't have anyone else who would listen to them.
MANY were hurt through actions of another member,,MANY BELIEVED in the

I personally like the stealth mode. And this place does not suck. If you posted more than 8 times, you might realize that. What's the matter? You don't find many people in Trainrider, IL, looking for 100-year-old men over 7 feet tall? I can't imagine why!

Iam4U, given his tenure here, brings up some valid concerns. I am not looking to place anyone on the defensive....I just feel that a discussion of what Iam4U mentioned is warranted. This is not the first time I have read a Mingle veteran voice such concerns. That is how I know that this is a topic with merit. In fact, this thread was established to generate such discussions, so why not get the ball rolling?

I haven't been on here nearly as long as you, and so you have seen much more than I have. However, I can honestly say that I am building friendships here. Much of it actually takes place outside the forums using email and IM. I have helped a number of people in my short time learn how to use the site, and nudge them toward the Forums. Though I don't have a large list of friends yet, I pick and choose who I wish to invite. As time goes on, that list will increase.

I do dabble occasionally in the serious discussions. I also try to support newbies. A number of those I have chatted with seem to believe I give good sound advice. I can't help but notice that I am slowly building a reputation with the crowd on Mingle. Not everyone knows me yet. I might have even started on the wrong foot with a few. Maybe this all means that I am more "old school" than some of the newer members on Mingle. I don't know because I wasn't here before to see what it was like. In any event, having fun initially is a great way to build contacts. Those contacts may eventually become friendships. Those friendships may then become the source of meaningful discussions within the Forums.

Generally, all things happen in cycles. Perhaps this is a new cycle that over time will correct itself once again. Then again, I'm just guessing.

Hey there newbie. If you want to get a date, It would probably be to you radvantage to read before hitting that post reply button. If you talk to the men that have been around here. He will tell you that you DO NOT want to start off your first post like that.

Actually that profile is a farce, I am 6-1 175 pounds, live in normal, il, got my house all paid for, paid cash for new car and have money and don't owe anyone anything, except those monthly bills that don't stop. :-)) I just wish if someone is listed on the site and they are just sitting there inactive and not checking to see if someone is interested, they should just deactivate their profile, instead of sparking my interest and leaving me sitting here on my rump salivating.
