LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas police are looking for an armed casino bandit who made off on a motorcycle with perhaps $2 million worth of gambling chips from the posh Bellagio hotel-casino.

Las Vegas police Lt. Clinton Nichols told The Associated Press that detectives were reviewing video and camera images of the robbery a little before 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Las Vegas Strip resort.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Nichols calls the robbery about as quick as you can do it.

He says the man wore a full-face motorcycle helmet and leather jacket.

He went to the casino pit area, displayed the gun, demanded chips, and fled the casino before speeding away on Flamingo Road on a black sport-style motorcycle.

I bet that casino is a mess with all the cops, Federal Agents and Gaming Agents. Also I wonder how he is going to cash in all those chips? He should have gone for cash.

If he's smart he'll bide his time and slowly cash them in over time.

I was just listening to the radio and they said this same guy used the same routine to rob a smaller casino(Stardust I believe) last week.

Pretty soon he's gonna hit the wrong casino and in that case he will be lucky if the police get to him before the mobsters do.

Who's that?

I wouldn't wanna be the bandit right now, they have every branch of law enforcement looking for this guy. They will find him, I just hope it's before he hurts someone.

You don't know that since the denominations weren't published............guess it would be easier to play them and lose then still gaining money...........LOL

A lone robber wouldn't be able to carry two million in lower denomination chips.

Another way to do it would be to sell the chips to players at a discounted rate. Sell high rollers 10k chips for 9k etc. You could go in play some cards and cash out. Buy in High, play low tables and cash out. The pit boss doesn't know what tables you are playing. Do this with a few people and you can cash out fine.
