The moral of the story here is that if someone is intent on killing, they are going to do it with whatever means they see fit to do it. But the left wants to punish all gun owners because of this guys actions. They want to blame it on Sarah Palin. They want to blame it on the Tea Party. They want to blame it on everything under the sun...EXCEPT FOR THE GUY HIMSELF!! |

I know they're inefficient and run hot. And you only get real substantial torque in the higher RPMs. If you want real power from the bottom end up... Get a supercharger, or blower. Wrong. Turbocharging is the next best thing to free horsepower. A blower or supercharger takes some of the engines power to turn it, creating a parasitic loss. A turbocharger's turbine impeller is driven off of hot expanding exhaust gasses. A turbo will spool up and produce higher boost due to its linear pressure curve instead of at a fixed rate that is proportional to engine speed like a crank driven supercharger is. And you'll be constantly replacing piston rings, and fuel pumps, rebuilding heads, and all kinds of overworked, and cooked parts due to the immense heat, regardless of intercooler systems. Not to mention no bottom end torque. Wrong again. I've seen plenty of factory turbo cars go 100,000+ miles of reliable service. If you dont know how to build an engine to live under boost conditions, your supercharged engine will suffer all the same symptoms. |
