I have no family to spend it with and my friends are all married with their own families; so I spend it alone. So why do people get upset when I don't celebrate it? I am not hurting anyone and I don't feel sad or depressed about the day; so what is the big deal?

thats odd, I have seen people behave as if they 'feel sorry' for others with no family around them, but I havent experienced people actually getting upset about it,,,

I think its because I am not doing what the rest of society is doing and that seems to bother people. Some have expressed "feeling sorry" for me but I tell them that they should feel sorry for the homeless as they truly have nothing.

I have heard people get upset that someone wished them a happy holiday of some sort but truly adults can choose what to celebrate but homeless made poor choices but certainly are still human and I do 'feel bad' when I see anyone out in the cold on any day, let alone a holiday.

Funny how they say they want one thing but really want something different.

I don't understand that either. But that's been my experience in all but one of my past relationships. Why can't people just be up front about what they want?

Either honesty is a thing of the past or its just the games that people play.

I don't think homeless people made poor choices; some have had tragedy happen to them. We have many here that have low paying jobs yet the apartment landlords trippled the rent so they are forced to live in the homeless shelters. Just a while back an 80 year old lady was put out on the streets at -20 weather as her rent went from 800 to 1800 in a month. What bad choice did she make? Guys going through divorce lose everything to their wives; including their homes and have to pay alimony and the courts don't leave them enought to survive and I know that for a fact as my brother was one of the guys and so was an ex boyfriend of mine. Not sure how both women could afford to buys sports but I guess that is where the alimony money went. That is justice for you. Some guys end up homeless because the lawyers gouge them to support their ex-wives. What poor choice did they make. Its not all black and white. I have spent a lot of time at the homeless shelters and heard some sad stories.

Thier mistake was not 1/2 d**kin thier women. If they woulda just gave em 1/2 the penis, then they woulda got thier cookies and been on thier way. But nooooooooooo, most guys give em the whole penis and THAT is the mistake. Then the trouble starts..."I love you", "where do you see yourself in 5 years?", "Honey, you need to put the toilet seat down".......By then, it is all over with but the crying............
