This is the gift My dog gave me for an early christmas present.... I TOLD her!!! "You don't gotta get me anything" "Christmas is for the kids" Apparently she completely mistook my meaning.......... 
.........and of course...no receipt so I cant just go get the money back....... Aww too cute. That is the best kind of gift; something from the heart.

It's a valid question. I have no family, and I don't know anyone where I'm living now, so I will not be celebrating either. People act like it's some sort of unforgivable blasphemy, though. Yes, you are correct in what you say. We are supposed to be able to freely express ourselves but if we don't conform to what everyone else wants us to do; we are bad people. Quite puzzling actually. I've found precisely the same mentality when looking for a relationship. There are pre-set expectation parameters, and if you're looking for something outside of those limitations, there's nobody out there. I agree with you on that too. If we don't conform to society's way of behaving; then we stay alone. Met many men who hated the fact that I am intelligent, can do my own renos, and can take care of myself. They want dumb, dependent women with figures like models. How does one compete with that? Guess I could pretend to be dumb and dependent but no way in hell will I have a model's figure.

I have met men who are attracted to me for my strength's and independence only to have them come to resent those vary attributes when it means I won't rush into the relationship, won't wear 'the' ring after a few months, won't move in with him...So now the relationship stuff seems worse then ever, we can't win either way! Now if we could add in the model's body maybe things would change! LOLOLOL |

I have no family to spend it with and my friends are all married with their own families; so I spend it alone. So why do people get upset when I don't celebrate it? I am not hurting anyone and I don't feel sad or depressed about the day; so what is the big deal? thats odd, I have seen people behave as if they 'feel sorry' for others with no family around them, but I havent experienced people actually getting upset about it,,, |

Well I got family around and I still dont celebrate it. I think Christmas is for kids. I tell my family dont get me anything. I have more than enough tmaterial things that I need or want. Christmas has gotten to commericalized!!! But! I will sit on a Santas lap if one came my way! He then can put me on the nasty list!!!(wink)
