gosh, I didnt realize I knew so many people personally involved with the investigation into wikileaks or with knowledge of actual details of what would warrant an investigation

seems people are making huge conclusions from very few facts

Yep and these same people are the same ones who cried when the Gov. (Obama) had talked about cyber-terrorism and wanting to do something about the threat.
All one heard was how he only wanted an excuse to spy on them at home on their lil PCs.
Well here is the reason for protecting this country from cyber-terrorism folks.
Some folks cry if you do and cry even louder if you don't.
They really only want a reason to whine because we have a black President for the first time in history and they can stand it.
Some folks will only be happy if they correct that perceived injustice.

Right.. the only problem with your theory is that this information was stolen by a person with access to classified materials.

It wasn't stolen by some hacker in china.

I don't know if you noticed, but the racism BS was tried before the election and I would say the Republicans winning 63 seats in the House has pretty much put that to bed.

It's a losing strategy.. I suggest you find something else..

I am just curious if anyone has a site with actual FACTS or CHARGES in this situation

seems like alot of repeated internet stories turning into fact because of how often they have been repeated

if something was truly STOLEN are there charges? does anyone bother to actually look for the DETAILS or are we enraged because we found out someone in the military leaked information(without knowing if it was 'classified' or if they 'stole' it)

and how often does a president have to address news items to the public, isnt he working to resolve things with the GOVERNMENT officials and isnt he supposed to be talking to THEM, and how do we know what he has or hasnt discussed with them?

,,,just some food for thought

I am not blaming Obama for these papers being leaked. But I am saying he isn't doing anything for damage control.I think he is portraying a very bad example of leadership because this is on the front page of every paper in the world right now.

I imagine most papers in the world have bigger issues than a leak here in the states

front page of my paper was about a military murder and the dream act

koreas are probably reporting much more major issues today as well

but this post inspired me to do some googling which lead me to a pretty cool site where we can actually SEE the front page from papers around the world

for anyone interested

No! You have completly nullified a ton of arguments on this forum single-handedly!

****, really, the only reason this is such a large issue to some of you is truly based out of racism. As Fanta said, deny it all you want but you couldn't be more blatant about it.

From the Wiki article on Bradley Manning:

=-=-=-=-=

Private First Class Bradley E. Manning (born December 17, 1987) is a United States Army soldier who has been arrested and charged with the unauthorized use and disclosure of U.S. classified information.

Manning was an intelligence analyst assigned to a support battalion with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Contingency Operating Station Hammer, Iraq. Agents of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command arrested Manning based on information received from federal authorities provided by an American informant, Adrian Lamo, in whom Manning had previously confided.[1][2][3] Lamo said that Manning claimed, via instant messaging, to be the person who had leaked the "Collateral Murder" video of a helicopter airstrike on July 12, 2007, in Baghdad. Additionally, a video of the Granai airstrike and around 260,000 diplomatic cables were released to the whistleblower website Wikileaks.[4][5][6]

Manning was charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) with violations of UCMJ Articles 92 and 134, for "transferring classified data onto his personal computer and adding unauthorized software to a classified computer system," and "communicating, transmitting and delivering national defense information to an unauthorized source".[2][7] Manning is currently awaiting an Article 32 hearing.

Yes there are charges over stolen documents and real harm
and serious prosecutions...and there may be more...

thank you, now we are going beyond speculation

so, it looks as if these charges date back to JULY , why is it a story now,,,,

also, I recall as a military wife, that the military got first crack at their soldiers before civilian justice did,,,,but I would have to read further on those details as well

I give people the benefit of the doubt , but yeah, there are plenty of weak attacks and justifications for the disparate judgment (between this and other presidents who did similar things or worse) that make me wonder whats really underneath

I see someone , who when he came in, the auto and banking industries were in crisis , and I imagine how much worse unemployment would be and foreclosures if the government hadnt stepped in

but most others just see how bad it is, with no consideration of how bad it would have been OTHERWISE,,,

Some people would rather accept anarchy or a collapsed economy to a black President.

Removing Obama is their only goal.

I haven't heard one person say the reason this economy is a mess is because Obama is a black man.I haven't heard a single person saying that if we had more white people in our Government this mess would be over.I don't see Republicans telling the general public that all blacks should never hold potions in our Government, that white people are better and superior, and that blacks are the reason for our worlds problems.

I do see both Republicans and Democrats off all ages and races upset with Obama because of his lack of leadership and his policies.

Maybe if you can post some articles(which I'm sure it should be easy for you to find since this is a race issue now)explaining to the rest of us how Obamas skin color is causing all these problems and how there is a large movement to get him removed because of his skin color.

subtle racism is called subtle because it is so hard to prove,

people dont just come out and say those racist things anymore, but its not because the racism itself has diminished so much as the stigma has been increased,,,,

google black president and you can come up with your own,,,

the fact is, although america has been mixed for a while and blacks started voting some fifty years ago, it is JUST now that we have had a black president(or for the politically correct, a president who came from a BLACK parent or lived in america as a BLACK person)

now, psychologically, you can attribute that (with little harm) to people voting for those who they feel will 'connect' with their experience, whether that be the experience of a male, a female, a white person, a black person, a christian , or a non christian

the republicans were on the outs so the democrat was elected in, but he did happen to be a black man and its hard to ignore the expectations that might have CAUSED as opposed to what would have been expected by the usual white male candidate and how much easier and quicker it would be to tear him down than the latter as well

I goggled black President Obama and went through much searching and I have yet to find anything degrading related to Obama being a black man.I found many, many websites explaining how Obama is the first black President and how that was a great accomplishment.I found nothing regarding how because Obama is a black man that he shouldn't be President and nothing regarding racism.

I think your second theory is bogus.Blacks make up a small portion of this society so how are you going to explain that Obama won the Presidency because people were relating to him?It was the white people voting that gave him the Presidency not the black people.Because you and I both know even if all the blacks vote for a President it won't matter because there is more white people that can outvote them.

Your third theory is just ridiculous.Republicans and Democrats have never gotten along no matter who is the President. It is stupid to say because Obama is black that the Republicans are not working with the Democrats.Did the Democrats work with Bush when he was in office?Hell no.They spent half of their time trying to impeach him.

Minorities have and always will use the race card when they are doing a poor job. They rarely if ever acknowledge they screwed up and will point the finger at the white man for all of their problems. It wouldn't matter if white people made up 3% of the population of this country. They would blame the 3% for the problems they are going through.

Wikileaks has released hundreds of thousands of classified documents stolen from a US soldier(one of the biggest in US history)and I haven't heard Obama say anything on this issue. What is up with this guy?Is he getting the George bush asleep at the wheel syndrome?

For one, B.O. is a puppet for the regime and panders to the military-industrial complex. Also, if he says anything it will raise questions that the regime doesn't want to answer.

actually, I think you missed my points completely. I understand white people voted him in, I stated that it was DUE to the republicans being on their way out in public opinion. He was the DEMOCRAT who was elected because america was sick of republicans(at the time)

I also didnt state anywhere that republicans didnt work with him because he is black. What I suggested is that although many voted for the DEMOCRAT that democrat was black, so that once he was in office perhaps it was that much easier to turn back around and disassociate from him than it would have been had he been another white male democrat. It is also more prone to create the type of VIGILE and INTENSE near HATRED for him that so many of his fellow politicians have been displaying. He is much easier to look at as 'them' when he doesnt look like 'us'.

lastly, I conceded that plenty of people look at policies and I try to give the benefit of the doubt that thats exactly the case EXCEPT, I hear such WEAK arguments justifying some of the intensely hateful and negative sentiments that I have to wonder if there isnt something else there. Blatant racism is no longer acceptable so people dont say 'a black man ' isnt capable of achieving. But those people will now look for things to claim that black man isnt achieving.
