i used to get banned from plenty of fish all the time. They too serious there. ppl can't take a joke. But i NEVER would pay for a date site! But dude give it some time. if it was that fast and easy everyone would be in a relationship right now

OP, if you are unhappy then focus on finding happiness for yourself first! It may just be me, but every time I have gotten happy all alone a relationship has appeared like you, no offense to any of you, men know I am all happy & chit so mebbe there's something similar with women. Be happy no matter weather you are alone or not & at least you are happy

I've been dabbling with internet dating sites for about 12 years now. I even wrote a book about it. And I can tell you, from personal experience, it's a crapshoot at best, emphasis on the word "crap."

OK, that may have come out a little more negative than I intended. But I've met 9 people from dating sites. 8 were just awful, I mean uberawful, like being tossed into a pit full of sharks and alligators and rabid wolves and irritable gorillas, assuming anyone could construct such a thing. (Might make for a good reality show on Fox.)

The 9th one was absolutely amazing, the most compatible, intelligent, creative person I've ever known, but egregiously unstable, which led to lots of other issues.

My point, which got lost a few sentences back somewhere, is that there are no guarantees with this sort of thing. I have friends on this site who met "the one" here. So it can work. But your mileage, so to speak, may vary.

POF is not the worst site out there (there's about a 97-way tie for that honor), but one of my 9 was from there and I'm leery about anyone over there.
