I once read that grace means more than gifts. In grace something is transcended, once and for all overcome. Grace happens in spite of something; it happens in spite of separateness and alienation. Grace means that life is once again united with life, self is reconciled with self. Grace means accepting the abandoned one. Grace transforms fate into a meaningful vocation. It transforms guilt to trust and courage. The word grace has something triumphant in it.

grace is behaving well without personal insult or knocking things over (in a literal sense). An individual with grace can whoop it up at the office Christmas Party and somehow , inexplicably , remain out of trouble...

Grace? Isn't that when you trip at the top of the stairs but get your feet back under you before you reach the bottom?

To give selflessly to others/ random acts of kindeness, puts you in a state of grace. To walk gracefully is different. One is physical. One is spiritual.

Grace is something that is seeded internally.... a calm, a positive presences, a tranquility ... that radiates from the person that can be felt and seen by others and has an effect on others.

Grace is my middle name....at least according to my momma! *giggle*

I think that some of what folks are calling Grace here, would be what I would categorize under another facet I admire, and aspire to: Honor.
Honor, is when you do as you claim to believe in all the time, whether someone is watching or not.
For me, Grace is more of a HOW YOU DO things. I try to obey my sense of honor, with Grace. This means that I don't push my beliefs in others faces. I don't brag about BEING honorable, as though I deserve a medal for it. When others make mistakes, I don't make fun of them, or "pile on."

'grace' is a state of mind, like everything else...
