By Terry Goodkind. There is a television show called the Legend of the Seeker based on the novel series..

I highly recommend these books. Just make sure you start with Wizard's First Rule, as it is the first of the series.

The story is about a simple woods guide turned king and lots of magic, treachery, and drama along the way. It's a mix between fantasy, romance, mystery, and adventure all rolled into one package.

My favorite books by far.

I have a friend at work reading the series. He says he likes them. I think I have seen him bring in two so far of the series.

It's a great series. The TV show on the other hand....

If you haven't yet I highly recommend Stephen R Donaldson's The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant books.

I started reading this a few years ago, it seemed pretty good. Never finished the series though. Was worried that, like the Wheel Of Time, it would get dragged out too much.

Great books, Azz sucking TV show.

Tall, the series is finished now. So no worries on him up and croaking with it being incomplete.

Have and enjoyed the first 6 of Donaldson's books, waiting for the last 3 to come out totally. Also enjoyed his other books and series.

How many books are in the series?
