Not the ten commandments but the one.

Delivered in Genisis.

'be fruitfull and fill the earth...'

So then why does is it that some churches make it a sin to have sex?

Are said churches committing a 'sin'.

Yes they would be. They would be spreading false testimony. We are to fall in love with someone, then make a family. Eg., be fruitful and fill the earth.

Fruitful = Doing good, making a loving and caring family.
Fill the earth = have children.

It's all quite simple. We are to find someone of which we love, marry them. Have kids, raise the kids in a nice home. Then repeat lol. Even gives instructions on how families should be ran so that they would be most sufficiant. Which if you look around at the families, it is very correct.

no proof that any god has commanded anything, or rather, i have no belief that any man`s writings have been told to him by any god

Only as much proof as we've been to space and or walked on the moon. Just documented evidence provided by someone else.

Please forgive the tongue-in-cheek...

You take a simple phrase. (male and female created he them. Go forth and fill the earth).

Into 'meet marry. have kids ... nice home...
'Gives instructions ... should be... most sufficient...'
Where in Genesis does it say all that?

How in Genesis did you arrive at such a statement based upon GENESIS...

Living proof as to why one should be very careful when using a tool of man.

One begins to think one can then weild said tool as though one is a master craftsman...

Yet the true function eludes one.

The be fruitful is a parable/metaphore. Goes along with the saying "you can judge the tree by the fruits it bares". The fruits someone bares is the reactions to the actions one has taken. Someone does good in their life, they are a fruitful person, eg., they've accomplished much.

So from the statement be fruitful and multiply, you can see that we are to do good eg., follow the laws set out before us and do as we should. And multiply eg., raise a family. And in raising that family doing it as we are to raise it, again with the being fruitful.

No body claims anything was written by our father himself. But if one piece of history can be used for historical evidence, why can't another? Other then the fact that it may sound strange and you may not believe it. But that is a personal interpretation. And historical evidence isn't dealt with that way so in that case it is not placed in the historical era. Just because if they did, that would be support one particular religious belief and history holds to no religious beliefs therefore it could not be used as concrete historical evidence.

While the spiritual side of scriptures cannot be verified, archealogical and scientific evidence is in abundance.

As though one was a master craftsman.

Have you ever seen a direct translation of the actual chapter from which 'genesis' (as the bible words it) is taken?

Perhaps before you 'craft' your answer you should practice with the proper tool and not a 'reworked' one.

I belive the closest translation is 'multiply and fill the earth'...

Where can you possible twist that into 'do good..eg follow the laws set..'

Problem with being a freelance 'sorcerers apprentice' is ones tendancy to think one is a 'sorcerer'...

Marriege is a man made institution and a contract entered into by civil laws.

Go forth and fill the earth he said to them.

Where in this does it say anything about marriage, laws, priests, imams, pastors, be-as-they-tell-you-to-be, or any other of the myriad THINGS that have been 'smoked' and 'mirrored' into the controlling institutions that attempt to 'preside' over a realm that is gods alone?

Because I have a more powerful telescope. You can see it quite clearly. Just sittin there waiting for some 'enterprising' person to charge future travelers two bits a piece for a look at history.

Genesis 2:24

24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Laws = what God has said to do or not to do. Those are the only laws that can effect you for eternity.

No my friend, you can NOT "prove" that is one of the landers. You can show something that may appear to be a landing or something of such, but you could never "prove" that it is. No one can really "prove" anything unless the evidence is accepted. Same with the bible. Nobody can PROVE our father to you. The only way to do as such would be for you to accept the evidence of it. Other then that, there is no way. Other then that there is absolutely NO WAY to prove anything.

No it is not. Marriage between a man and woman happens when vows are spoke to each other. Do you know what the vows are for? The vows are professing what ever your vow may be to our father. That's the origin of the vows. That little piece of paper only holds power on earth. It is only as worthy and important as the paper it's written on.

Well, first off many scientist would argue with your claim here since moon rocks were brought back. Plus they actually left a mirror on the moon that scientists use daily to track the moon's precise distance from Earth.

Moreover, isn't this line of argument rather lame?

If you are suggesting that we have no more proof of our recent history than we do of ancient fables, then all you are doing is demanding that the Biblical fables have no more merit than Greek mythology, or fairy lore, or any other religious myths including the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I'll be the first to agree with you on that point. drinker

All you are doing is suggesting that we have no proof for anything. laugh

That hardly gives us any reason to believe in the Biblical fables.

However I disagree with your reasoning here anyway. Having been educated in the scientists I am fully aware that it's not all just hearsay. You can actually go into the lab and perform the experiments yourself to be sure that what the scientists say is true.

Moreover the Biblical fables are full of contradictions and absurdities there's no reason to believe them at all. But the results of science are apparent, I'm typing on one right now.

Have we all seen flying machines? I think everyone has. Have people seen rockets launched? I don't know about you, but I have.

Can we understand all of the technology that it would take to get to the moon? Again, I don't know about you, but I can. The only thing preventing me from building a rocket that could fly to the moon is lack of finance.

Now, turn to the Bible. Does it make sense that a human was born of a virgin woman? No. Does it make sense that he rose from the dead? No. Does it make sense that he walked on water without special equipment, raised people from the dead, and cast demons out of people, etc. No, not really. In fact, has anyone ever actually seen a demon being cast out of someone? I haven't.

So even if we have no 'proof', one claim (i.e that we went to the moon) is reasonable, whilst the other claim (that our creator is a male-chauvinistic pig who solves all his problems using truly crude, ignorant, and violent means) is not.

So forget about 'proofs', just recognize what's reasonable and what isn't.
