So I turn 30 in a couple of months. It's gonna be official - I'm old. Without the same 'ol boring cliche of, "you're only as old as you feel." To you... how old is old?

age is entirely relative when i was 18 i thought 40 was old! now i really dont give it much thought except to hope my parents are around for a couple more decades

My 30's sucked.. so far my 40's have been so much better! everything since about 25 sucked... 1990. the turning year...

My 30's sucked.. so far my 40's have been so much better! I'll be 40 next summer! The last 8 or 9 years have sucked... It's about to get better... So goodbye 30s!

My 40's seem to be treating me better than my 30's did.

Hmmmm....old is when you have a narrow constipated veiw of the world... old is when you choose a tired jaded perspective. old is when you can't be bothered with engaging with the world. I have known 90 year olds that are younger than some 12 year olds. I have known 'old' people at age 30. In someone else's mind I am old... in mine, I'm just busy doing doughnuts in life, ( burnouts, wheelies, laying rubber) accumulating a few dings and scratches and a whole heap of wisdom! ....and I am all but 47.

My perception of 'old' depends a lot on your health. I know a few rare guys over 60 who have more strength and endurance than I do; I consider them younger than the people my age (30s) who go from stressed desk jocky by day to couch potato by night.

Honestly, my 30s were about regaining footing after the mistakes of my 20s. Now that I can go after what I want, 40s are looking pretty good.

I think it SHOULD be the best of all decades,,,no longer too inexperienced to have wisdom, but not too old to be able to physically tackle any adventure,,,

A friend recently told me being in my 30's was perfect for being single cuz you could date anyone 10 or so years either older or younger! Old enough to be a cougar & young enough to attract the mature men! LOL
