IF a politician said they would promise to try, the media would tear them apart as not being 'leadership' material. Any hint of humility (after the elections) and the media tears a candidate apert. The mainstream wants a cowboy in office, one who will demand and order and one with whom you are either 'with or against'...sort of thing. |
