Topic: to critique is to be boring. | |

by allowing the opportunity to judge others we negate constantly judging ourselves. i feel neither are adequate to the conscious life, the betterment of our being.
or i'm full of asterisks. |

I prefer to judge others, I love the sense of superiority it gives me..especially in the morning.

Isn't the act of labeling something as "boring" a critique in and of itself?
Or: "subjectivity" requires a more or less arbitrary hierarchy of interest vs. non-interest (a Boredom Index)....it's meaningless, in any universal sense, but who can say it's "right" or "wrong"? Those are merely value assignments.... |

don't judge me. hey, you asked for it. besides i really only disliked the last line! and you didn't "tear me to shreds" so now i feel a bit left out... |

It makes me a better person. So thanks. |

Those are merely value assignments.... what about in the multiversal sense, Lex? Parallel Universe Theory allows for the possibility of different initial conditions at the "beginning" of those universes -- which would very likely result in a significant difference in the perceptive abilities of whatever sentient (?) beings might turn up in them -- how would one define "boring" in a universe where the sensory apparatus was built around "senses" we can't even imagine? Or in a universe where repetitiveness was an impossibility? Maybe some other standard of "boring" would develop -- maybe not. Maybe -- given a comparable visual frame of reference -- purple would equate to boring. It's speculative. Interesting, yes, but far enough outside our normal (i.e., "boring"?) life experience to have little use beyond a hypothetical mental workout. |

We usually find fault in others because we are too afraid of what we may find if we look inside ourselves. I noticed what bothers me the most about other people is something that I usually don't like about myself either.I try not to judge others, its unavoidable sometimes, but we are flawed ourselves. Who am I to judge someone when I'm a total wreck myself?
The problem with most people is lack of common sense, and no amount of criticism or judgment will change someone that does not want to change, so whats the point in wasting time and saliva. |

I think someone needs a hug, and a copy of Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers. Whichever comes first.
